I never look poor and because of that when shopping, sellers always want to overcharge me,  true

It’s very true… first I created an identity around someone ambitious and after ego death I didn’t care anymore. Not saying one is better then the other but you notice how people treat you. The thing is: I have lost all desire to appear succesful because I only want people to leave me alone.

If you're poor and working your way up, you should look a notch or two above the herd.
If you're rich and comfortable you should look slightly poorer to avoid becoming a target.
What it really boils down to is how you switch your personality to blend into every situation while still holding your self respect.

As such you dress accordingly for every occassion so as to not appear overly flamboyant or destitute.
It's an old business trick.
