The silent aspect of the quarantine times made this quite a bleak and depressing fight, no loud crowd pops, no spectacular finish, just a man losing his win streak, health, and confidence

This was a career-ender for Ferguson.

Crazy how much damage can be done to your career in 26 minutes

If you ever feel some shit in your life just remember this fight when tony still was trying to win

@nkyryry 3 months ago

It’s insane that Tony came forward for almost the entire fight.

How Tony Ferguson didn't end up dying that night was wild to me, he's lucky to be alive

@GaryChiabaudo 3 months ago

Tony was tough as nails.. what other worldly endurance

@PaperPelican 3 months ago

I now understand the meaning of being too tough for your own good.

Hold on brother, I’m crying.

This is so profoundly sad looking back that ilias loss isn’t even as ugly as this. Justin’s a monster

Watched this fight in the hospital after almost getting killed by a drunk driver. Both legs broken, kneecaps shattered, 3 ribs broken, jaw broke, chin fractured, pelvis and femur broken, jaw wired shut. This fight got me through the night. Thank you guys but most especially Justin. Such a huge fan of this beast. Hoping his undisputed reign last until he hangs up the gloves.

@SSF323 3 months ago

This version of Justin will absolutely beat topuria, and we'll see that on Saturday night.

I’m watching this again, and I think it’s so weird that the fighters can hear the commentators so clearly. Probably better than their corner.

ferguson was never the same after this fight.

@andrewverrett568 3 months ago

The fact ferguson was still not breathing heavy even after this fight and being beaten down like this is a testament to his cardio. Dude had insane cardio.

@sapienthought 3 months ago

tony was never the same after this fight... we saw close to prime tony just one more time in R1 against HACHIKO ( chandler )

Insane. MMA fighter or not, how does somebody absorb capital punishment, and that much of it, and not go down? That’s just beyond brutal. Tony must’ve been one punch away from a coma after the stoppage. Wow
