Really great video. My goal will always be to support BOB. I just wonder if the people making the decision to boycott these locations realize these stores didn't always have DEI initiatives  yet they were shopping there then. In addition, we shop at beauty supply stores that are mostly owned by Koreans. They don't have DEI programs. In fact sometimes I don’t even feel welcomed when I walk in the door.  Im not saying I have all the answers. These are just things I have been thinking since this controversy started

I LOVE the Doux. I had made the decision to simply purchase directly from their site.
I’m trying to sit with her and Tabitha messages for awhile before I make any final decisions.
When I decided to not shop at Target it wasn’t as a boycott per-say— it was simply choosing not to give my valuable dollars to places that don’t value me.
As a collective we’ve consistently shown up and purchased the BOBs from Target and other retail stores and it seems that wasn’t enough to get them to see the value and not make the choice they did so it seemed counterintuitive to continue to do the same thing and expect anything different.  I’ve always struggled with the idea of someone kicking me out of a space and me fighting to go back and sit with them. But I do appreciate your insight on this and this video… I’m still not sure though exactly what purchase channels I’ll be using yet— but you’ve helped me decide that I have to get my hands on this mousse!!

Nope, not going to Target, but will always continue to purchase her products through other avenues because I love them - very simple! 😊

I’m so glad that I found you. I love your hair science we think alike on many things. I watched your video as I did my set with the Doux 808 gel and Mousse Def foam. I’m strictly wash and goes, rarely use a leave in unless I think I need it. I’ve used Big Poppa, I’ve never tried the combo I’m using today. I’ve tried Bee Girl Custard and Crazy Sexy Curl foam. I love Maya’s products and have used them for a while.

I have to use a cream styler because my hair is real short right now and its very sparse, but once I get some length I will try this mousse and your blow dry method.  I used to not like mousse when I had longer hair cause it looked like I had bald spots, but I think blow drying it will definitely help it fluff up and appear more dense!
