I really appreciate the fact that Alec made it as precise as it needed to be, but it still looks completely vintage.  If someone was looking at this in 50 years, they may not know which was 150 years old and which was "new".

At 4:20 the body language when he is trying to remember where he put the particular part for that ongoing project is so familiar and relatable.

Seeing modern day people recreate/repair/etc old equipment like this is so fascinating. I had never seen a squared spring before, which is why I watched the first video. I saw this pop up the next day, so I had to watch it. I'm but one man, but you two have gotten a new subscriber.
