I've wasted most of my life in fear. Thank you for your talks.

Christ delivered me from the death of addiction. Over thirty years of despair came to an end in 2012.
My own strength and will power were nothing more than liabilities.
Glory to God

I always say “I’m not worried about that right now, I’m just focused on the bible right now.” As a kind of reframe into me thinking about the Bible anytime those thoughts come up. It works for me. I just let it go and replace it with the Bible.

In the book of James it says to submit or humble ourselves before God to resist the devil and he will flee. So we resist the devil by turning to end submitting to God. This scripture makes much sense to me now after your message thank you so much!

Such a vital teaching, thank you. As an Anglican priest I’ve heard so many people insist that they will never give up trying to fix themselves by constantly obsessing over their negative thoughts which only ties them up in greater knots and develops anger towards themselves. Far better to turn to Christ and refuse to allow any attention for the thoughts that accuse us. God’s love is powerful to hold our attention away from all the thoughts that harm us.

Believers OFTEN mistake thoughts as originating from their mind when some of them are whispers from the adversary. If you fall a thousand times it is not that you fall but do you get up, pick up your cross and begin again to follow Christ? Only when you stop getting up, stop repenting and stop following is there a problem...
