The Dallas Cowboys beat the Houston Texans 34-30 in a wild finish, and Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb delivered when Dallas needed them most. The Cowboys desperately needed this victory, and their offense showed why Dallas still has an opportunity to become a dangerous team in the NFC.

Dak Prescott battled through a difficult matchup against DeMeco Ryans and the Houston Texans defense. Houston was able to create pressure while rushing four and dropping seven into coverage, but Dak settled into the game and responded with a much stronger second half.

CeeDee Lamb was once again the engine of the Cowboys passing attack. Lamb delivered another huge performance, while George Pickens made the most of limited opportunities with a massive catch when Dallas needed it.

The Cowboys offensive line also faced one of its toughest tests of the young season against Will Anderson Jr., Danielle Hunter and the Texans defensive front. Tyler Guyton and Dallas' young offensive line were tested throughout the game but did enough to help the Cowboys escape Houston with the victory.

Defensively, there were positives.

Quinnen Williams and Kenny Clark made their presence felt inside, while Rashan Gary delivered one of his better performances of the season. Dallas also did a better job controlling the Houston running game.

Joey Porter Jr. made his Dallas Cowboys debut and was eventually given the challenge of matching up with Nico Collins. But the Cowboys secondary remains a concern, and Dallas still has work to do defensively if this team wants to become a legitimate NFC contender.

That's what makes this victory so interesting.

The Cowboys offense has shown that it can score enough points to win football games. If Christian Parker and the Dallas defense can simply develop into a consistent, respectable unit, Dallas could become a very difficult team to deal with as the season progresses.

Dallas is also learning how to win close games. Not every victory will be pretty, and the Cowboys are beginning to build the experience needed to survive tough, physical games when everything doesn't go according to plan.

Now the question becomes whether Dallas can stack wins and build momentum.

J Tuck breaks down Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens, Joey Porter Jr., Quinnen Williams, Rashan Gary and everything that stood out from the Dallas Cowboys' 34-30 victory over the Houston Texans.
