I came here after seeing GQ's video of George's new restaurant Hamburger America, and tonight for the first time I tried to make a smash burger myself. I love George's passion on burger! I might open a smash burger restaurant some day, and it all started here...

No commentary, no stupid gags, no jump cuts, just a purely informative and fun documentary.

Update: Wheel Inn Drive In is closed, Bobcat Bite has left the family and is now called 'Jambo Bobcat Bite'. They still have a version of a green chili cheeseburger, but it's different. EVERYWHERE ELSE IS STILL OPEN AND SERVING BURGERS AS OF 2026!!

i love how proud the restaurant owners are. the pride that comes w/ quality locally sourced ingredients, keeping a tradition alive, & making people smile. small restaurants like these really are important to communities.

Love the ol man at the meers segment. He’s not speaking with ego, he’s speaking with pride. A man raising cattle in the best way possible with love and passion. And the way he speaks about his food shows everything. Best quality, and food with love. God bless America.

This is exactly how lots of German documentaries of the 70s through the 90s were made. No narrator, just interviews, chill footage, non-intrusive music that fits the vibe. So good!

What always kills me about old documentaries from the 80s 90s 2000s, is the atmosphere. So relaxed and pleasant.

Thanks for the upload btw.

This kind of content is why i love YouTube. So far today I’ve watched a documentary about Popcorn Sutton the world famous moonshine connoisseur, one on how to make a genuine Diablo Sandwich from Smokey And The Bandit, same channel with a video on how to make Crack Chicken and now this gem American Hamburger. Who needs to pay for every steaming service known to man when YouTube has fantastic videos such as these 🙌
