Lets make a sign-on poll to directly protest/appeal to the studios producing the Dune trilogy and appeal to the acting cast to sign on it as well to release extended cuts with full IMAX ratio! It would be a shame of the decade if we do not have such cinema comparable to LOTR

Chani was going to die at child birth no matter what, that's why Paul allowed Rylan to give her the contraceptive

Another something to ruminate on...Back to casting, the initial announcements of the twins as part of the cast was a bit surprising to me, given the pacing of the plotline thus far. It's what made many of us anticipate Denis pulling some threads of C of D into Dune Part 3. If so, then we are about to see a somewhat different adaptation than many of us anticipated!👀🤔.  I always thought the birth scene was fairly pivotal  to the story. Now it could be done expositively, with Paul verbalizing "I didn't see a son." , or something as he lifts the Na/izoni scarf from the sand. But   if it was an alert, that Chani left behind, then would it not mean  that Paul wasn't there at the birth or Chani really is saying goodbye!?! Very interesting...as much as her standing face to face with a worm, who seemingly senses Paul's bloodline and refuses to consume her, either pre birth or after-hard to tell with the shot sequencing, but an amazing visual, nevertheless!!  We have to remember that we are seeing an artist's interpretation of another artist' work.  Thematically, I think Denis has shown great respect to the source material, and even to the earlier '84 adaptation with the inclusion of the "Long Live The Fighters" battle cry that was not in Herbert's original work.  So we are seeing a visionary director do what no one thought. He has given us Dune-his version and vision!💯 Now he only has to land the plane✈️...no small task, but no sweat!!🙏🏾😂 ❤🎙️👍🏾👍🏾....and wait till people find out what xlotl tanks REALLY are!!!👀🤫🤫😂

I’m one of your recent subscribers and just wanted to say I’m really enjoying the channel. 👍🏻

Such a good break down 👏

Just found your channel and it's right up my alley I've read the first book sixteen times (started at age 13, currently old so plenty of time for rereads lol) and Frank's books are top tier. Thanks🙏

Chani is wearing the blue scarf in Part 2 so that would reflect the first born Leto II who was killed by the Harkonnens in the book but not featuring in the DV film (and couldn't because there was no time jump in the films - a missed opportunity I say because the murder of his first son would act as a catalyst driving Paul to take the Water of Life)

"Conspiring" is the word you're looking for

The throne room from the book cannot be done justice on screen.

I understand them making changes from the book n I understand that but all the characters where they end up at end of the book is where the characters need to end up in the movie they can change how they get to that point but they can't change the conclusion where the characters end up if they do I'll be upset..but I'm hoping it be great so should be great. Just hope the ending doesn't change the events for the future books.

Glad i found you in YouTube, Your content is awesome and your voice is calming and Intriguing at the same time.
i hope more people will discover you

Chani also wore that blue sash in Part 2 when Paul first rode the sandworm too. I want to believe there are still moments from Dune that may appear in flashback in Part 3.

And for crying out loud, I want to see those deleted scenes, especially all the Thufir Harkonnen scenes and Count Fenring?! I hold out hope for Extended Cuts... 🙏

Nice! Subbed! Hyped!

That was a great breakdown. It's great to learn about the understory from your detailed explanations I would have not understood at that level.

got me to sub with this one. cool channel!

Thanks for the spoiler alert btw :)

thank you ! more please

Slightly touched upon the home world of the Benegezerit order. Prophecy was the origin of the order’s manipulation, and DUNE is the culmination of their centuries of their planning. Oh they had to make improvements on cell regeneration, because the movie The Fifth Element had already done their cell regeneration of the Supreme Being from just a few cells. So this movie had to improve on to give it some gravitas. Now I’ve heard of gollum’s having been in existence in another movie, but those didn’t have any personality characteristics. They had to be implanted.

Can't wait 6 months 😭

Absolutely love your content !
Watched parts 1 and 2 (again) and noticed something funny in part 1. Towards the end, after Paul and Jessica survive the storm, we see fremens watching them from above. But the first guy is clearly Duncan 😅. About 2:05.45 in the movie
