We had a Worcester Bosch 8000 boiler fitted in November. We thought Heatable were supposed to be approved installers. Which meant that a system flush would be done as mentioned in the details of the quote online & on WB website.
But the whole thing turned into a nightmare. NO SYSTEM FLUSH! NO LIMESCALE REDUCER! NO SHOCK ARRESTOR! piles of redundant plumbing items hidden under our loft insulation, and the walls were over filled with foam, then concrete, yes concrete, half an inch higher than the plaster in my kitchen. Wires were left hanging from walls, and the dirty water from the redundant old water tanks dumped all over my driveway. He even removed the drain vent and never replaced it, so no future engineer could drain the system.  So far we’ve had to have a brickie  out to repair the wall and my driveway will need to be resealed after being jet washed when the weather improves. As for Heatable, I had their Director shouting down the phone at me last night stating WE NEVER DO A SYSTEM FLUSH on a Worcester Bosch installation, angry that Joel (after care) had arranged it. Joel also arranged a limescale reducer, which we were told was gesture of goodwill! LOL WB require it when your water hardness is 270ppm. We weren’t even asked if we had hard water. Two months of emails and cancelled appointments before and after fitting. Now their Director is angry that Joel corrected most of these disasters, although no one as yet has even looked into the shock arrestor.
I can’t even get online at WB as the warranty has been done wrong. They also sent me a ten year warranty certificate, after 2 months of asking. Not the twelve years stated. Now I have their Director shouting down the phone, apoplectic that a system flush was done. I don’t even know if my warranty is valid after all this. I would run a mile from HEATABLE. The boiler is good though, I just don’t know whether my warranty will be valid after all of this.

I’ve fitted maybe 30 of these over the last 18 months I personally love them it’s easy to fit with the jig, love the rear piping options even more so now the plate would be easy to remove from the front, plug in Worcester controls another well thought out time saver, user display is really good especially for installer options, prv as you said street elbow and a coupling fits perfectly 👍 easily my favourite to install from the Worcester range

Alan I'm doing boiler service repair the past 25 years and your videos are spot on. 👌 makes you feel more confident when carrying out a service on newer models..quick question I seen you use some liquid to clean condense bottles a while back..what solution did you use.

New boiler installed under the free insulation and boiler grant, they provided a Worcester 4000 combi 30kw. I really wanted a Baxi as I fitted many, but anyway it was free so why not. Straight off the bat faulty pcb  replaced under warranty.  My old Kingfisher was 26 years old that  only required 2 new thermocouples and a pump!!

I can’t understand why Worcester doesn’t provide the keyless filling loop with the boiler.
I know you can buy it separately but when you subcontract the companies like Heatable they provide a cheapest flexi one.
In my opinion, it is a shame (for both).

you are master of your trade i really wants to be gas engineer but i don't how to be in short time because of the family responsibility

Great video Alan I always fit ideal but a few ppl ask for a Worcester so interesting to see an install.  With the new regs on part l and the flow temp of 55 and lower delta tee can u do a video on how to size up a new boiler and system whilst adhering to the new regs etc

I have a question for Allen and the community. I am on the lookout for a new combi-boiler suitable for a flat. It is a 2 bed, 1 Bathroom. I plan to box it into a kitchen cupboard (Which will most likely need customisation to cater for the boiler). Flue needs to exit to the right-hand side of the boiler from the wall I plan for it to be on. I want something reliable and easy to work on for gas technicians when required. What would people recommend? I have a Vaillant on another property and although I was initially pleased I have the dreaded leaking flu which I believe is a design flaw in the Vaillant range and the warranty aftercare was awful. Could anyone recommend a boiler?

any heating engineer in the Herts area, near Hatfield? As I need a second opinion, on the installation of this boiler in my house. As the local company, who installed it has given us a problem. We can't use the washing machine, as water hammer noise can be heard from the kitchen to the airing cupboard, and the hot water pipe, is connected to the cold water pipe and its the hot water pipe that rattles. Their engineer was stumped, added an arrestor to the kitchen sink piping, and said to switch off the hot water pipe when using the washing machine. This stops the water hammer noise, but means we can't use the heating, or hot water in any tap, which is unacceptable. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Talking about this with Worcester Bosch, and waiting to see if they will come round to see why, and offer an explanation where this install has gone wrong. As far as I know the hot and cold pipes should not be connected or share the same pipe. This local company is on their approved installer list as well. Thank you.
