These base ideas are so Infinitely stronger that building them creates a black hole in the middle of your FOB.

One tip.
You can place a sniper tower next to the half gate and deconstruct a wall, placing a half hesco block in the hole with a door behind it. This creates a murder hole so you can have a someone with a view watching the airlock from above and below.
Plus building two out, you have room for barb wire in front of the murder hole to keep people from rushing if someone unfortunately gets gunned down.

I like the forced airlock design, pretty good.

Doors and gates are liabilities right now.  They're too weak and die instantly to C4 or mortars.  You can add a gate airlock early so you can get your APC inside but once it's in or you're calling a drill, it's best to totally seal behind the gate with elevated foundation bremer walls so that there's no way in.  As long as players can jump out then it's fine.  No one needs to get back into the fob anyways because they literally provide no services right now.

Nicely done. Then we have to hope that Havocs, AH miniguns, and Jimmy, eating his Hot Pockets, drinking G Fuel, and using the artillery calculator, are going to land Kobe shots directly into the FOB control panel over single HESCO-sized bags with bremmers on top. 🙂

C4 can penetrate up to 3 blocks. IEDs can splash up to 4 blocks. You need the doors spaced more against explosives. Still not a terrible idea to counter crowbars though.

TroubleChute Basics - Me as a profi builder I have a simpôe question... HOW do you repair this type a gate when it gets mortared??? I am asking solely bcs if you build it conventional way and gates are destroyd you can just place gates next to original and they you destroy old floor frame but you already have 3 gates placed down and base is secured... How can you do it here? By my thinking you cannot which makes this looking good on paper but absolutely not viable in game...

one c4 will blow up multiple doors if they are touching.  The one door gate is also terrible.  It gets blown up by a mortar and now you cant easily fix it.  

The airlock you designed will cause people to get killed in it before being able to close it creating a freely swinging door that enemies can walk through.

Unloading cargo is the responsibility of the FOB, not the truck driver. Simply stopping long enough to reverse is dangerous enough with snipers and RPG's watching our loud truck pulling up, and getting out only adds more time to our return trip and the next delivery. If we get out and die, it also leaves our truck free to be used to climb over the wall within a few minutes when it unlocks, which is also bad. Also, if it explodes in the cargo area, that husk remains for a while and blocks future logi.

With the current meta, I tend to get hit with an RPG on my second or third trip, and once the enemy knows the approach we have to take they'll start placing mines. So, really, the goal is to get as many pallets to a new FOB as possible before we're hindered, which is important because we can carry two at a time. After that, deliveries by truck will become more sporadic.

gates and doors are useless at this state of the game. they need to add better/stronger versions which can tank more than 3 c4.

Forced airlock is nice but as you showed 1 c4 takes out the hesco wall so need to build it 3 wide so you can do bremmer walls.  I am def going to test this tonight.

I learned a few tips here. The door airlock will be a good addition for me.
Tho i have a better solution for that supply drop off.
basically this:

\ = doors. so 2 is the gate.
So you basically just add another wall infront of your main wall and 2 gates on each side. and you can drop off supplies there and get another wall infront of your main wall. A quick and easy solution.

What i would add to the airlock, or behind the airlock, is what i call a maze, tho you dont have to make an actual maze.
its basically this:

Basically you make the enemy run through a pathway where you can look down into it from towers or other structures.
Its also a perfect place to throw grenades or just cover the one opening from where they will come through, if they dont blow up any walls.
You can even cover the entrance with a CIW if you want.

This can be build it many ways.



Now the meta wall you mentioned is incomplete, in my opinion. It needs a concrete wall on both sides of the hesco. Mostly to protect the hesco from mortar fire. Otherwise you'll find that your walls are falling apart from continued bombardment much faster then you can repair them.
I sometimes, depending on time, supplies and help built a more complete wall. concrete on both sides, 2 hescos in the middle and 1 concrete on the outside hesco.

This creates a walkway that you can use to run along the wall with some protection against gunfire and mortar fire. You can use this path either just fight from or move between towers more protected.

This is how i Want to build my walls.. which is not always possible tho.
