Wife here. I was a bit embarrassed he talked about this so openly, it's not exactly something I like everyone knowing because finances are so personal. But reading everyone's comments really made my day, thank you for all your kind words!

Huge balls for taking the chance. Even bigger balls for putting this out there.
I'm positive if you keep at it, it will all work out and you'll end up better than most.

I lost everything in 2008 was 35  you have a great attitude you will bounce back.

You have something money can't buy, a loving devoted partner. You've won.

bro can hold a monologue effortlessly for 40minutes

that's exceptional

9/10 businesses fail and the same 9/10 don't talk about it

The wife stayed when all the ship crashed.. shes a keeper. Most of them flee😅

You’ll probably get an employment offer from this video. It’s one of the best accidental résumés I’ve ever seen.

I’m currently losing everything at 64. It’s life, it hurts, but we need to move forward.

At least you had the balls to get out there and try.  Most people just dream

Business “ending” is one of the most traumatic things to happen in a person’s life and it is never discussed. All businesses eventually end.

I don’t know how this video found me but I’m glad it did. Chin up. You sound like a winner after a tough loss.

Your not walking away empty handed. Your walking away with experience and key lessons on what to do differently next time.

Got divorved at 51 after a 25 year marriage. She was a stay at home mom. Lost so much and now renting a room in a bad area after losing the house. Still rebuilding 4 years later after lawyer fees ect. Its tough but I am not giving up! Thank you for your story. Best wishes 🙏

Your brother came in clutch ! Big props to him

dude it happened to me too, If you listen to anyone successful that's part of the journey....  don't stop, you gonna make it!

Left Goldman to run my own biz. Bought from dishonest guy. My ex in finance too, due diligence etc yet we couldn’t spot fraud. We thought we were smart. Divorce later, blame etc I couldn’t find a job, me with a stellar resume and Ivy League degree. Humbled to the core but so much better for it now. Praying helped and today I’m strong and happy. Things get better and awesome but I wish I knew that back then.

Congratulations. You just made the best real video ever and helped thousands of people relate.

My wife is dreamer and started her dream business about 3 years ago.  She kept her job (reduced hours) and ran it on the side.  We could live on only one income if needed.  No loans, all out of pocket.  Its taken 3 years of break even while paying employees to run the day to day.  We joked that atleast her hobby may make money someday.  Its starting to work.  Super proud of her.  It was always   low risk, and low downside.  At any given point she would have lost time and maybe 30k.  She loves it.  It bring her joy every day.

I heard a quote one time that said “success is just moving from failure to failure without any loss of enthusiasm” 😊
