Hey my bad it took so long to get this video out. I originally planned on doing a lot more with this video but I just didn't have the time to edit it the way I would have liked. Anyway these are my thoughts.
"Dear humanity, we regret being game developers, we regret coming to Microsoft, and we most definitely regret that the Halo community just blew up our raggedy-ass game!" -343 Industries prolly
No more micro-transactions No strict deadlines Get a serious and committed team Release the game when it’s COMPLETE LISTEN to the core fans Have BASIC storytelling skills Bring Arby back
I gotta respect how you were ahead of the curve on the whole “fire 343” sentiment weeks back, there are so many competent and talented game devs/studios who would probably give their left nut to make a halo game with a fresh new angle, makes little sense to me to not let other studios experiment with the IP in some way at this point, just take this franchise away from these buffoons for the love of God, enough is enough.
I remember you & your channel where getting flamed by a portion of the Halo community for your takes. How the tables have turned in the recent weeks. Keep up the great work, I’m tired of these soft takes on Halo, you’re is a breath of fresh air
This is outrageous! I mean imagine a big corporation mishandling a passionately created IP that they acquired the rights to. I mean imagine Disney mishandling Star Wars… uh or maybe Amazon mishandling Middle Earth… hm… or Netflix mishandling any adaptation of anything ever! Actually this is just the new standard that we should expect.
Another annoying thing about this is that I'm sure at some point Nick Mercs (and maybe other COD streamers too) will use this to vindicate their BS take of "hurr durr Halo Infinite needs battle royale", as if a lack of a BR mode has anything to do with Infinite's current problems.
When those initial E3 trailers came out me myself I was not necessarily impressed with just graphics alone I needed 343 to prove me wrong. Fast forward Post launch of Infinite and it showed it's ugly head and showed me I had made the right call cause of their scant offerings even 10 MONTHS LATER!! Put in perspective Bungie for almost a decade came through with absolute complete games only monetizing the initial retail purchase after the EARTH SHATTERING SUCCESS that was the Halo Trilogy and spin-offs that followed (Even Halo 2 that was renowned for being INCOMPLETE was one of the defining moments in Halo still despite that fact; and it's telling how they were LEAGUES above 343 in game design, story-telling, & transparency). Also Halo 3 and Reach's launch shipped with Campaign, Multiplayer, Forge, etc. And then after all thissss they have the NERVEEE to say Halo's always been "Competitive"?!? What about Custom Games? File-sharing? Machinimas? Forge? Social playlist alongside Skilled Matchmaking? I'M DONE! They've screwed up beyond repair and someone's going down with the Ship. #Fire343
Hot take : it isn’t just management that needs to go. The amount of bugs, glitches, crashes, low quality/quantity maps, delays, etc. IS NOT due to managers. It is not managers who write the stories, can’t workout splitscreen, or deliver forge. Bungie had some issues here and there, but overall, they did much much higher quality work with much less time and money. The developers at 343 are just as mediocre and amateur hour at their jobs as their managers. At any other job if you failed 3 times over 10 years, you would be blacklisted from the industry.
I like how you put it, if you are working a job you don’t get rewarded for failure. Which honestly it pisses me off, if I failed at my job time after time after time I would be letting my team down and customers down. That feeling of failure should make people be motivated to do better next time but sadly 343 has learned nothing. 343 needs to be held accountable for their failure.
Great video. Always resonate with ur thoughts. I’m even open to do a live if ur down with that. The problem with 343 is (and I’m currently doing a video on this) management. In fact more specifically it’s because of Bonnie Ross, Ki Ki Wolfkill and Frank O’Connor. These people are responsible for the garbage that halo has become.
However, My opinion on Microsoft is its like their a bunch of old people who really don’t hv the time to look at what people think of halo through twitter or YouTube. 343 constantly acts like everything’s going well to hide how bad it’s doing in front of Microsoft.
Microsoft simply doesn’t know how bad this game is doin. And 343 are hiding it for their own sake. Now I get that Microsoft has analytics but even then it comes through 343. They can manipulate that. Just as they have done before. “ halo infinite hit 1 million players” etc.
Anyway fire343 is trending and I couldn’t be anymore satisfied with that.
