Not Shane on the verge of tears 0.1 seconds after Ilya suggesting he could marry Svetlana.

“I could marry Svetlana” he said while in Shane’s home, wearing Shane’s shirt, and holding toes with Shane

Everyone acts like ilya was just winding up shane here, but he legitimately wanted and needed citizenship if he was ever going to be with shane.

I love how well this follows the book. So often series and movies absolutely destroy great stories by deviating so much from the book.

The moment the camera cuts to Shane saying, "We can figure something else out, okay?", with tears welling up in his eyes, was so good and so in love ❤❤❤
