He smiled more with the baja this what the hobby is for

"I don't know if that makes a difference, but it makes me feel good"... That's exactly what this hobby is all about! Rock on Sketch, great vid as always, what a blast!

Just picked up a rofun 5b, can not wait for it to get off the boat!!

I love the paint job on the 5t.  I bought one a few months ago during that crazy $900 sale Horizon had. I love 2 strokes.  I've owned Banshees since 1998.  The smell,  the sounds, and that light switch power band is intoxicating.  I have also hated weed eaters,  leaf blowers, and chain saws my entire life because of the infuriating tiny 2 stroke motors.  That's why my 5t is still in the box waiting to get converted to brushless.  I've got everything to convert it but haven't had time or decided for sure what motor/esc combo to get.  The plan was Max4 or 5 and 70/125 but then Castle dropped their new 12 monster combo and XC has been making waves.  I'll decide and have it ready by spring.  I wasn't really in a rush to get one but when they went on such a crazy sale i knew that if i passed it up then I'd regret it.   I am excited to see how it compares to my sbr 2.0 and UDR's  since it's got conventional independent suspension rather than trailing arms and a straight axle out back.

Such a cool video, bet you had a blast making it🤙. If i had to pick one the 5ive T is king for me, but i haven't ran my new Vesla.5 gas rtr yet so we'll see how she rips🤣

i have the same 5b except i  have the 29cc and i love it and your not wrong the steering sucks on it but its a blast to drive

MAGNAFLOW

Hey man just checked out the video and loved it! I recently started restoring 4 gassers that I got for a sweet deal! So much fun. You should look into the symmetrical steering kit for the rovan you wont regret it! Cheers!

This was awesome!! I have an original 5T and first gen Rovan Baja both with 26cc engines. They run awesome.

5t looks the best. Awesome video.

Subscribed, Love these videos brother.

The 5B is more of a Dragster Style vehicle for elapsed times on a straight course.

Awesome vid man!

I've been in the large-scale gas RC for I think 20+ years now, and nitro and electric RCs for even longer. One thing I've noticed is that the RC hobby in general has gotten way more expensive than it used to be. I remember when I could pick up a BRAND NEW HPI Baja 5B for $700 cash at my local hobby store. Now those hobby stores are all gone and good luck getting even a used Baja for that price. And then comes the rest of the 5th scale RCs...they're all crazy expensive now! I've had nearly all the 5th scale gas models...from FG to Red Cat even. While awd is cool, I've always had more fun with the Baja 5b platform. Rooster tails,  power slides, etc are nearly impossible with any other awd, while the Baja makes it a fun thing to learn. Once you've tuned the Baja, it RIPS! The stock steering settings are GARBAGE, but they are relatively easy to get right without even needing to upgrade steering servo. Remember, when your Baja fails to steering while turning, it's not the servo's fault, but the steering saver being too loose and causing the spring to compress and "save the linkages". These need to be tightened! Don't bother "upgrading" to aluminum steering because those are all garbage and will cause failures elsewhere in your Baja.

Now the part that I really like- I've had 4 Bajas as part of my 5th scale collection.
1st was a new HPI Baja 5b(when it first came out in 2006).
2nd was a new King Motor clone when clones first started coming out and bought in ~2007 I believe.
3rd was a new Rovan clone that has been amazing!
4th was a used HPI Baja SS that I recently picked up.
I've loved my FG, Losi, RedCat, but the Baja has a special place in my heart. While the clones were not that good when they first came out(like my King Motor), the current ones are excellent!! I love that these clones have gotten so good that they can introduce new owners into the 5th scale club with such a LOW price and be a really good product! There's NOTHING else that gives you this much fun for such a little price in the 5th scale gas world! NOTHING. That's why I have to tip my hand to the Baja clones for this win. I never leave a Baja bash without a massive smile and it's been like that for nearly 20 years! If you can buy a genuine HPI Baja for cheap, DO IT ASAP. They are a good investment from my experience. Their values are rising, but every once in a while, you will see some cheap deals on marketplace etc.

Yeah i now have the symmetrical steering with a perfectpass 110 kg servo. a bit overkill but man do i love my baja! When the stock CY 32cc engine(which is not bad imo) i will go for a zenoah 32cc. My baja is now a hooligan in the field

If the Baja is not turning tightly in turns, it's most likely due to the steering bump-stop protector not being set correctly. Needs to be tightened up a bit.

5T is my pick! Fun video 👍🏻

They all look sick

Thank you for making this video, it's cool seeing them all together. Plus I like your style of it just feels good upgrades, I'm in the same boat.
I had a 23cc DBXL first and liked it but sold it off to put money into a Honda Prelude. I currently have the 32cc 5T and love it. Looking at getting that buggy style Rovan/Rofun 5B with the longer arms and what not.

You have great tuning skills!!
