My theory is that there WERE more dragons, but the fourth host possesed the last one and is now the key to the end exit in the middle. It explains how a normal being is suddenly the guard of an entire prison dimension
The statue of Alex killing the dragon in the Lone Fortress. Indicating that there was already an enderdragon in some sort of ancient conflict. This leads to my new theory - that the dragon is Ender's weakened 'incomplete' form, like in skyward sword the Imprisoned is the same as Demise. Idk how it might have happened after Dungeons (since almost all the humans are dead after Dungeons), but the way the crystals keep Jean alive, and the way the exit portal is kept closed, implies some sort of imprisonment to keep Jean alive but stuck forever?
I headcannon that the fourth host is called “ambition” to go along with knowledge, foresight and action. If you’ve ever seen Macbeth, you’d know why.
Nice video topic, now the reason I think the WHOLE orb is inside the dragon egg, yes you can reincarnate the dragon using 4 end crystals, but when you kill the dragon again, It doesn't lay another egg, why? Because there is no other orb particles for the beams to pull, which is why I think the whole orb is inside. Also, I made a post on my channel where we can discuss what the orbs lore could be, so it would be best to talk about the theory there.
{1}: I feel like "Ender" is an alias. Take a look at the names of the hosts: Action (1 eye), Knowledge (2 eyes), Foresight (4 eyes). We know from the fact that the Vengeful Heart of Ender (a form created by Ender for herself) has way too many eyes, that the eye-count represents their power. Their names also support this: Knowledge is more powerful than actions, and foresight is more powerful than bare knowledge. And what's between "knowledge" and "foresight" in terms of power? Understanding. So I think Ender was originally called "Understanding" (or a synonym of it) and has taken up the name "Ender". Perhaps she vewed herself as the "ender" of something. Perhaps this is related to why she left/was exiled by the Hosts. Would be a pretty stereotypical villain arc. - One of the main good guys doesn't like something about how they operate; Tries to change it / "Change it, or I'll leave"; Opposes the team -> Villain.
{2}: Ender being a 'she' makes sense for multiple reasons: - Mojang is all for equality and doesn't like controversy. So if they have a board of 4 leaders it makes sense for them to have an equal number of female and male leaders. - The Enderdragon is confirmed to be female by the devs. - Mojang showed us several times that they don't take the dev given mob names (Jean (Enderdragon), Simons (Wither) and recently: Wiliam (Warden)) seriously. The "Ask Mojang" video where they named the Wither, and the "How We Make Minecraft" video where they named the Warden makes this apparent.
{3}: The name "Ender" is all over the franchise and it is being use as an actual name: "Eye of Ender" , "Heart of Ender" . These are thing that "belong to" Ender. The capitalization also checks out, though the English translation uses Title Case for item names, so this fact isn't really authoritative. "Enderman" also makes sense in this case. The solders that belong to/serve under the king are colloquially referred to as "kingsmen".
this theory is busted by the fact that in the final level of dungeons the arch illager has ender dragon statues, there's ender dragons on the doors, and the splendid robe given to his court is purple/black and makes ender dragon noises when you equip it, meaning Jean's death came first before the events of that game
I remember Kevin Grace explaining the naming conventions of the host in Minecraft live 2022.
They each represent a skill all Minecraft players demonstrate every time we play.
Foresight is seeing a hill and coming up with a dream of what you might want to build there, Knowledge is the understanding of the crafting recipes and the ingredients that you need to make that real, and then Action is the hard work to make that a reality
So I assume a forth host would have to follow that. Ender seems like something that could represent controlled destruction to make way for a build
The dragon theory is kinda false. There is litteraly a achievment proving that other dragons existed. Plus the dragon layed an egg, that means it must be female. Also minecraft dungeons, legends and the original arent in the same "world". It was proven by mojang.
I do have a crazy theory on who the main villains could be
what if those two people you see at the end credits are the villains and want you to beat the dragon to take the dragon egg which has abilities that can beat even the command block, and the dragon egg is so powerful that only they know how to access it's power almost like how you in survival can't access the power of a command block and you need op to do it, and it works like a rank of power system, almost like.
Redstone can be used in survival Command blocks and structure blocks can only be used with op Dragon egg can only be used by the two people in the end credits
also notice how once you beat the game and take the egg the portal back spawns meaning either the people some how lit it up for you, or the egg has cross dimensional powers, I mean an end gateway appears which gives elytras and op loot, what if the dragon egg has cross dimensional and teleportation abilities, we don't really have a item or a command that can instantly bring us to a different dimension, also, notice how when you hit the egg it teleports,
it's just a theory but I do think the dragon egg has some sort of dimensional power the two people in the end credits want to access to rule over all three dimensions and possibly and unassailable fourth dimension that they are stuck in and the egg is the only way they can get out,
and they manipulate you into inevitably taking the egg which frees them and also allowing them to destroy and rule the whole minecraft multiverse.
