Please don’t apologize for talking so long, I really like when you talk something about yourself off topic

It’s nuts how quickly your videos are improving! So glad that first one wandered across my algorithm. Keep it up, you’re very very good at this.

girl, you're telling us you did allat with only a phone and capcut? you're amazing... i can't wait to see what you can actually do when you get the funds for a proper set-up. cheer up! ✨

If I recall correctly, didn’t the lead actress for The Shining also came out with the fact that she was kinda tormented over and over to get her shots to the point where she was actually having breakdowns.

I only mentioned it because you mentioned off screen treatment in The Teriffier franchise so I thought I’d mention how horribly she was also treated on set.

The amount of video/video editing mileage you’ve gotten out of a phone is something to be proud of!

Don’t apologize for being sincere or being passionate about something. I want to strike the word “yap” from the lexicon.

I'd recommend that you learn to break your fall. Not just for any possible future stunts, but also in case of falling for real. It really can make the difference between slight pain and debilitating injury or (especially at older age) even death. There should be some guides online for how to fall safely and some sports (at least martial arts) teach it.

Not a female led film, but The Thing is a delightful horror film. Old-school special effects are a gem!
And many thanks for unapologetically calling out the misogyny in the horror genre. It is absolutely sickening the way that tortuous and violent on-screen deaths of women are so gleeful. It really says so much about our society that we dream up new and revolting ways to torture and kill women for entertainment. Extra horrifying to know that actresses portraying those death scenes are being mistreated as well.

If you haven't seen it already, "His House" is a solid horror movie, while simultaneously serving as social commentary on the process of seeking asylum. Great video as usual

Awesome video, thank you! My favorite final girl is Ripley in the original 1979 Alien movie (one of my favorite scifi horror movie ever).

52:23 it’s called y’allternative

The quality of that intro was just amazing. girl, you’re gonna get far. 👏

My favorite final girl is Christy from the OG Hell Raiser. Considering the time period, she broke the mold of the virtuous, inocente victim

Not exactly horror, but all the talk about women as main characters in films got me thinking about my favourite film, Jurassic Park! Ellie Sattler is shown to be just as competent as the men in the film with her own area of expertise, being perfectly capable of doing things herself, and the one clear example of sexism is done to show Hammond as a clueless old man that she immediately calls him out for. Just a fantastic character all around imo

It makes it all the more a shame that the Jurassic World films then felt like a step back, having Claire be a #girlboss type who basically had to be shown how to really live and constantly be saved by Owen Grady (who of course becomes her love interest despite them having negative chemistry lol)

Twin peaks deep dive would be so good! Theres surprisingly little content about it on YouTube

This popped up on my front page and I'm so so glad I clicked. You're so absurdly good at what you do it was a huge surprise to me that you're such a young channel. I'm definitely interested in watching your work get better with much eagerness

So...I guess that makes the Aliens franchise progressive even by modern standards.
Ripley is not sexualized. She's clever and tough and uses every advantage she can get. Her death is not gory.
Vasquez is a competent woman of color in a male-dominated field no less, is not sexualized, is a total badass and is outside Hollywood's conventional beauty standards, which suits her character. Vasquez is also in a time where a character like her who is "one of the boys" wasn't as common I think.
Newt, unlike many little girls in horror, is still a damsel in distress at the end, but is still clever and genuinely helpful at several points in the movie. None of these characters have death scenes that sexualize them or show a lot of gore, and all are treated as legitimate people.

i adore your content & the creativity within your delivery, pls continue 🖤 your channel has become my “my show is on”

You HAVE to see Rosemary's Baby if you haven't seen it before. It's a masterclass in demonstrating gaslighting and paranoia and does so well with creating horror without a huge focus on showing the monster. My husband and I also recently watched Invasion of the Body Snatchers and the practical effects were remarkable - we plan to watch it again soon. Another great one is Raw, it's a French film and it's pretty wild but so unique. Love your videos, keep up the fantastic work!

Remember, you don't have to spend a lot to get a computer that runs a lot really well. $250 alone is enough if you build your own desktop.
