I just got to the lore part and no, it was not Radagon who called the Dung Eater or anyone else back to life, it was Marika, for she wanted to die and did not really care who carried out the deed. Radagon is the one who sealed the entrance of the Erdtree ffs, he did not want anything to change. And the narrator is not Radagon, its a deadleaf, which are stated to be the ones who read the falling leaves (think Dane from the dlc).

Put this on the background of a 12 hour shift, it was mostly a calm one so I could really focus and think on the whole video in almost one full go. I personally enjoy Elden Ring however I struggled to find any points I really disagree with and that has allowed me to look at this thing I love more critically. A well earned subscribe, my good sir. Can't wait to see what else you have made in the past 2 years!

I’ve seen a lot of Elden Ring videos over the years. I’ve seen quite a few critiques. After years to meditate on the game myself I agree with you on a lot but not everything. I think this is the best Elden Ring critique. I just randomly stumbled upon this video in 2026. On the stealth stuff- on the one hand, I like it. It builds on DS3 stealth (not Sekiro) and things like unaware enemies taking more damage from the initial hit are interesting. That said, it is very bare bones, and the decision to have one of the most stealth-oriented ruins likely to be the first one you come to, which is full of patrolling guards and guys with horns, is very strange.

Dropping another comment here now that I've finished the video. Wanted to say I loved watching it after waking up every morning and and going for a bike ride. I do like, almost entirely disagree, but that's fine. Ain't no way I'm doing what you did and writing a thesis on this shit but I did appreciate you giving your full perspective regardless of others' opinions. The only thing I have to say is be a little more careful when stating things as facts, as there were some times where you said things that just weren't known. I can't think of any examples save for Radagon being the narrator. Oh Marika the many tarnished back, not Radagon. So it's not even Radagon's decision. Anyway yeah dawg I'll be coming back to watch more, and I hope to see more positive and happy stuff in the future. Have a good one.

Some thoughts on your Morgott criticism.

In the first part of your criticism you say that his attacks are too fast and too relentless, that you don't have any opportunity to counter attack. In the latter part of your criticism you then say that Morgott's delayed attacks are frequent and that they last a second or more.

Those delays are openings, you're meant to get a counter attack while they're delaying, then dodge/block/strafe their attack, and then attack again.

Another opening you're not considering is the delays when Morgott uses moves that reposition. If you space yourself and time your roll and dodge in the same direction as him, you'll end up in the same spot and get another easy punish. Likewise if you use a directional jump when he does a tail swipe.

At a glance it might look like these attacks are uninteractible and just meant to be flashy, but they're carefully tuned to allow the player an even higher degree of interactivity than previous games allowed.

I think this might be a misconception about the combat that's holding back your enjoyment of it, because I think Morgott is among the best Fromsoft has ever made. Because of the fast stamina regeneration (I think its roughly the same as if not faster than even Bloodborne) I believe the combat in Elden Ring is intended to be at a faster pace than Dark Souls, where you and your opponent trade blows during their combos, and the game rewards you with posture breaks and status effect procs.
