The best option in my opinion is to use a dip pen with white India ink.

Thanks for this review. White pens are so hard for me to find the right one.

They're more intended for use in model building or miniature painting (intended for plastic, resin, metal, and wood surfaces), but AK Interactive has a line of "Real Color" acrylic paint markers in 34 historically-appropriate colors (such as Dunkelgelb, olive drab, Russian cockpit turquoise, etc.) that includes a flat white marker. They all have felt brush tips, and do not require pumping to get paint to the tip. The markers are available individually, in themed sets of three (the flat white marker is in the 'Tactical Markings' set along with Signal Red RAL 3020 and Yellow RAL 1003) or in a full set of all 34 markers

Thanks so much for making this video. I've watched so many videos about white pens but you added some wonderful brush tip options. Great job on describing each pen - the good and bad. Patty

I've recently being using a Rotring Isograph 0.5mm technical drawing pen with Isograph white ink. It's excellent for fine detail white lines and subtle highlight lines on watercolour paintings without splodging. You just have to use it often and keep it stored properly. If it dries out a bit, I just wet the tip and shake it a few times and it's all good again.

I love Pitt artist pens in white. comes in brush, bullet or calligraphy tip. and when the brush tip wears out you can remove it and turn it over for a fresh tip. they are india ink pens , but it  seems thicker consistency than the other pitt pens . not completely opaque over other media but  good on coloured paper and pretty opaque with another layer

I was just about to look for a video like this, but Youtube reads my mind!

I just carry a small tube of white gouache. Although if I want lines Sakura Gelly Roll 1.0mm is my fave.

There is an acrylic pain pen called “Tooli Art” with 100’s of colors. The sets come with replacement nibs when the tip starts clogging. Very easy to replace or clean off. It’s a shaker ball pen and comes in regular or extra fine tip. I love the extra fine tip!

Very informative video, thanks so much for your hard work!!!!

It's good to know I am not the only one who has trouble with the Gelly Roll pens, anything smaller than the 10 usually does not work.

I have the same frustrations with white gel pens not always working. I appreciate your video to help me continue my search for the best product. I have been using Posca a lot too, but they are often inconsistent. I want to use more Molotov pens because they seem to release more consistently.

Useful…I have searched for a good white pen. I started carrying a tube of white watercolor paint and a very fine brush for my highlighting.

I worked at Michaels for 5 years and the best white marker that Ive ever used is the "Calligraphy" Oil markers that come in the set of black white and gold. Best Gold Ive ever used too.

Excellent vid, very helpful, have liked & subbed

Very helpful video! I am always on the search for an opaque white pen, and have recently discovered the Martcolor white gel pen with a 1.0mm tip. It’s been great to go over watercolor without blending or fading.

Pentel and kuretake are total solid

Now it is easy to find right pen.

I’m the same as you Teoh! Always the Gelly Roll in a 10 and the Signo comes a close second. I love the look of that Zig white brush pen.

Danke für den Vergleich.)))
