The New Hero Xtreme 160R 4V Cruise Control is offered in 4 colours, with 2 of them being brand new shades. The Kevlar Brown and Neon Shooting Star colours have been carried over from the base variant, whereas, the Matt Shadow Grey and Matt Slate Red are new shades. Hero Xtreme 160R 4V Cruise Control variant is the same 163.2cc, air and oil-cooled engine which produces 16.9PS and 14.6Nm. The bike gets a KYB inverted fork and a monoshock suspension, and rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres. Braking is handled by a 276mm front and 220mm disc brake setup, with dual-channel ABS.
The Bajaj Pulsar N160 is powered by 164.82cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 15.68 bhp and a torque of 14.65 Nm. With both front and rear disc brakes, Bajaj Pulsar N160 comes up with anti-locking braking system. This Pulsar N160 bike weighs 152 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 14 liters.

1) Xtreme 160r 4V -
a) Owners are reporting low mileage (30 to 36 Kmpl) which is very less for 160CC segment. It may be due to over square engine with bore size of 66.5 mm which is huge in segment. For example, NS160 bore size is 58 mm, RTR 160 4V bore size is 62 mm, N160 bore size is 58 mm
b) Major design flaw - For battery replacement entire petrol tank cover has to be removed, as petrol tank & side panel are single module.
2) N160 -
a) Handel bar position not good at all for N160 & N250 owners are complaining about back & wrist pain & even modifying Handel bar
b) Weight is heavy compared to competition in 160 segment (i.e. 152 Kg)
c) Single seat model doesn’t come with headlight ON/OFF switch
d) Oil cooler could have been better specially for long rides & summer time.
