Hi Marla! I Have been a follower and your student (!) since 2020. But we moved from MI. to S.C. in Sept. 2024 and I stopped my home dipping to use a salon service until our house is built and I can unpack all of my nail toys! I miss dipping and I certainly HATE paying so much every 3 weeks for dip color. I also feel the techs are very rough on the nails.
It’s good to hear your voice and I wish there were nail techs here were as gentle and competent with results as you are in your excellent videos!

Girl, I'm in Osprey. It is hot as the surface of the sun! Summer is the hardest part of the year down here, so I'm with you on that! Love your videos so much. :)

Hi Marla, I just started watching your video tutorials and I'm in love. I have always had nice natural nails but a couple of years ago my fingernails started changing, paper thin, white spots, almost painful to touch anything. According to my doctor I have psoriasis on my nails due to a vitamin deficiency. I have to use something really strong, I'm not crazy about acrylics and everytime I went to do a gel or a dip outside, it looked awful, so I decided to give it a try at home. Your video tutorials are the closest to having my short nails look somewhat natural, I'm still practicing and following your recommendations for product, but just wanted to take a minute to say THANK YOU!

Just want to make sure I understand; after the 2 coats.. You did a gel base then gel top coat? After which you wiped with an alcohol pad? @marlakris

Can you link the products you use? The glass cuticle pusher, the nail files, dip powder, specifically lol great video! Thank you!

Do you ever have problems with bumping/hitting your fingers and the natural nail under the dip bends and makes the dip crack and break? I tried using clear dip with an apex method to keep my natural nails strong, but it didn’t quite work how I wanted it to

@sarahhawks7973 1 year ago

How do you know if you have a natural apex?

Why does alcohol often put a white cast on my nails? I mean, it disappears with a tip coat but I don’t see that happening to others. What am I doing wrong?

When i do solid plain color, i rarely get a smooth cover with only 2 color coats. Is it the evenness of my base? It's not easy to tell for me... any tips appreciated!
