Girls: I’d rather die than go back on that island
Boys: so, same time next year?

I guarantee none of these women will ever speak to each other again, and I also guarantee that these men are now best buds for life

Fun? fact

Both teams were on the island with a survival expert
Men appointed their expert as the leader
Women bullied her off the island for trying to be a leader

Results are clearly visible

So, fun factoids: This is the second time that show tried a "men vs women" survival challenge. The first time, both teams were on the same island, and the women kept going to the men's camp for their fire and food. And the guy counting fish? He worked on a net that he found, the other guys told him not to bother, but when he managed to catch over 20 fish, they all hailed him as a hero.

Xena: "You'll never guess who won."
Bear Grylls: "The women absolutely crushed it."
The women: *almost literally f'cking died*

out the gate, the men tackled it like a desperate survival situation, excelled as a result, and ended up in a position to enjoy it like a vacation. the women started off treating it like a vacation, failed miserably, and ended up in a desperate survival situation

The mentality of the women in this was pretty much "i know im on a tv-show and if i cry hard enough we'll still be helped out". The guys saw it as a fun challange/ endevour to tackle

The hilarious thing is that both groups got the same training, had the same number of experts, and the women had many advantages given to them by the showrunners.

Women's team see a prehistoric reptile: "Nope, bye!"
Men's team see a prehistoric reptile: "That fucker wasn't scared of us, and we took it personally!"

I don't care where you're from, taking a selfie with a shark is effing epic level badass.😂😂😂😂

If memory serves, the survival experts in womens team, gave up one after another, because the other women refused to listen to them.

The producers even sent the women two pigs and instead of eating them they made them pets even tho there starving

@whyjnot420 1 month ago

I love how it goes from him lying about how good they are doing to "these women are literally starving".

There was no filming crew. On both teams filming is done by one of participants. The whole point of show is survive w/o 3rd party intervention (and women team failed it, they got supply drops). Also, they had 2 weeks survival training before start of show, and had a survival expert in team (the camera person).

Women: Haven't eaten in days, lost for days, barely any water, days to start a fire, and scared of any animal.... Men: Maybe dinner will be an hour late and peer pressured to eat a bug.

I just don't understand how the women side win at the end, because they'd be dead like, 3 times already without the "outside helps".

So my takeaway from this is that Xena is the rare sort of woman you'd want at your side in a survival situation.

Apparently the first one the men team had an idea to start actively looking for crocodiles, but was asked to not do that out of fear of ruining the ecosystem.
