The baby wigs and princess coverups shit just looks like straight child abuse from what I've seen. I find it so disturbing how these parents can hear the painful screeching and just keep braiding...and then upload the poor baby to instagram!! Idk if it's a mass cultural decline in empathy (or some type of enjoyment??) enabling such behavior, but it scares me. Feeling like way less people need to be parents right now.
That "joke" about wanting other women's hair as bundles is reminding me of mother gothel and rapunzel. I pray to all that is holy that if there is a tangled live action that they do not decide to make her a black woman. But also people should realize that they are literally presenting themselves as the "ugly hag jealous of the beauty of others" and the "ugly" trait they are talking about is literally the hair texture basically exclusive to black people. It's a horrible look for us truly. Also you are hilarious lol
Even as a braid wearer, I cringed at all these. Protective style is such a weaponized phrase. Like, what are tight braids and glued wigs protecting other than our insecurities :/ ?
Yall just don’t like moisturizing your hair because y’all fear shrinkage. Stop letting your hair get to the “tumbleweed” stage then complaining. ESPECIALLY if your hair is processed.
This women piss me off so much because they act like type 4 hair is a curse when they dont even actually try to know their hair or to at least keep it moisturized
Some of this women just have a humiliation kink, humiliating themselves on the internet. Also once you learn how to take care of your type 4 hair, it's so easy to maintain.
I'm allergic to braiding gel. My last experience with it was a nightmare. Plus, as an african, I can tell most hairstylists didn't need gel to achieve neat parts during my childhood. This trend is just causing people's hair follicles to suffocate.
They think their hair act on their own. Have a mind of their own. They don't realise that they're the perpetrators of their own plight -- edge control gels, tight hairstyles, combing dry and tangled hair, not shampooing for weeks, the list is endless. They don't want to learn. Unlearn or relearn. What they want is ragebait and clout for content's sake. It's really sad. Really.
