Do you like the FM-1? ( Don't care if it's yes or no, I just like reading your opinions)

I'm so happy for this kind of devices. I've been playing music for almost 20 years and finally I feel that  we are having synths and musical instruments that are really affordable and with good quality.  I'm having a lot of fun with this using the Baud Girl update. I'm glad that a lot of people are enjoying this as well.

I have ordered mine to learn VA. Thank you for your very helpful video ❤

7:09 it also has Bluetooth MIDI and Audio, it also has it's own power so you can just connect the device to any phone and use it as a MIDI device, Audio Interface and record the FM1 sounds directly to your phone's app/daw. Pretty capable for a 70$ device!

I have one and it is awesome! For $64 I can have a hardware DX7!!!!

I bought an orange one pretty much when it was released, and after seeing the new BaudGirl firmware, I’ve put in an order for a purple one. I don’t think it will be an issue having two of them!

firmware coming out for these is bonkers how fast it comes out. Felucca makes it 4 track with drums, 9 synth engines, Sloop was built off Felucca and adds even more on top of that with user samples able to load, 34 drum kits. Groove OS is a paid firmware for $29 that gives the full FM part and original 128 presets, but then adds in another 8 separate voices for VA synth (20 voices total), up to 8 tracks, built off the original firmware, drum kits, full midi capabilities with Bluetooth Midi (some other firmwares cut down midi functionality and even turn the 6op FM into just 4op FM). Groove comes with 179 sounds but has a soundset you can buy that adds in more so I think its almost 250 sounds. In the works but not running on hardware yet, just the FM-1 simulator is Lunar Modulator (built off Felucca), that gives multiple tracks, synth engines, etc, then also xOx firmware being built and working in simulator prett well which gives it a full Rebirth RB303 function with 808, 909, two 303’s, TB-3P0 line generator. Probably more I haven’t seen. I’m running Baud Girl but have another FM-1 on the way to try out more firmware versions.

There is a 3rd party upgrade that makes this device more serious... Great video.

BaudGirl 💪

Try baudgirl or felucca firmware. Makes the fm1 a full groovebox

i own this thing for a few days and ur girlfriend already knows more than me..

Should be called: meet the color combo for the M WAVE F1 you didn't know existed! How did find rust/white!?

Love it, but only if the detune algorithm is corrected. User community based firmware is a game change because of this. Could this sell more copies than the Dx7?

Not really a flagship killer, but a great alternative to the FM-2...not sure what else it really competes with. Cool box though!

i think it’s the keys  get a midi cable in  and a bet it sounds the same-ish

67 baby-euros!

Is the keyboard on this thing velocity sensitive? on FM engines there's a huge difference, It sound really close, regardless.

Where did you get that colour

why no midi out?  :(((( on this device

Lack of MIDI Volume makes this, as you said, a toy
