Dennis Quaid: The Wolf's Battle to Reclaim Yellowstone | Saving Yellowstone

Real Wild

The American West was born out of a chaotic history of volcanic destruction, leaving behind a sprawling ecosystem where survival is a daily battle against blistering winters and intense summer droughts. For centuries, humans altered this landscape by removing its top predators to make room for livestock and civilization. Today, the return of the wolf has triggered massive ecological and cultural shockwaves across Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming. This documentary follows dedicated biologists as they trek through deep snowpacks to track the intricate relationships between wolves, coyotes, and red foxes. At the same time, local ranchers are innovating new ways to protect their livestock using unusual animal allies like guard burros, proving that harmony between humans and wild carnivores is achievable.

The administration removed protections from endangered wolves & bears. Fired the rangers who protected the animals. The animals are doomed to extinction unless they are protected again.
