🇩🇪🍲 Sunday Kitchen from Germany!
Hello everyone, my dears! ❤️ Today we're back with Sunday Kitchen—cooking homemade food, trying new recipes, and spending time in the kitchen together.
In this episode, I made soup from a Cookidoo recipe, tender chicken breast in a creamy cheese sauce, and beef roast with onion sauce. I also decided to experiment with a recipe... But, as sometimes happens, not everything went as planned in the kitchen. 😉
Watch the video to see what worked and what turned out to be an unexpected surprise!
Pour some tea, get comfortable, and let's cook together. Thank you for joining me! 🥰
💬 Have you ever had culinary experiments that didn't go exactly as planned? Tell us in the comments!

🍗 Chicken Breast in Creamy Cheese Sauce
Hähnchenbrust in Frischkäsesauce · 3 servings · 220°C · about 55 minutes in the oven
Ingredients
400 g chicken breast
1 red pepper, ½ onion
300 g mushrooms
1–2 carrots
Mustard, salt, pepper, paprika
For the sauce:
125 ml cream
100 g cream cheese
100 ml whole milk
1.5 tbsp tomato paste
½ clove garlic
1 tsp cornstarch
½ tbsp paprika, salt and pepper
Directions
Chop the vegetables and place in a baking dish. Season the chicken, brush with mustard, and place on top.
Bake for 15 minutes at 220°C (top and bottom).
Combine the sauce ingredients and heat until thickened. TM6: 6 min / 100°C / speed 3.
Pour the sauce over the chicken and bake for about 40 minutes more. Check to make sure the inside of the chicken has reached 74°C (168°F).
Side dish: rice or pasta. ❤
🥩 Beef with Onions and Mustard | Serves 4
Ingredients: 1–1.2 kg beef, 4 onions, 2 tbsp mustard, 400 ml broth, 150 ml dark beer (or broth), 1 tbsp tomato paste, 2 cloves garlic, bay leaf, marjoram, oil, salt, pepper.
Preparation: Rub the meat with mustard, season, and fry. Brown the onion, add tomato paste and garlic. Pour in the beer and broth, add the spices, and then the meat. Simmer, covered, at 160°C for 2.5–3 hours, until tender.
Sauce in the Thermomix TM6
Transfer: Pour the onion and all the cooking liquid into the TM6 bowl.
Chop: 20 sec. / Speed 5, then gradually increase to Speed 8 and chop for another 20–30 sec. Scrape down the sides of the sauce if necessary and repeat.
Reduce, if necessary: 8–15 min. / Varoma / Speed 1. Remove the measuring cup and place the steamer basket on top.
Taste, add salt, pepper, or a little mustard. Stir in 15–20 g of cold butter for 10 sec. / speed 3.
Important: First, puree the sauce and only then decide whether to reduce it. Onions thicken the gravy well on their own.
The secret to a tender roast: suitable cuts of meat are shoulder (Schulter), shoulder (Bug), or shank (Wade). ❤
