I'd love to see some footed arrow making, maybe some heavier FOC builds for York shooting from heavier poundage bows too, please?

I tried making footed arrows and even a simple 2 foot felt like an awful lot of work! I gave up after two 😂

They're very pretty, but so much effort I'd be scared to make/use a full set! Kudos to anyone with the patience to do so. It must be heartbreaking to snap/lose one!

Please do a video on how to do simple footed arrows. My club has its first ever clout shoot in June and I need to make some arrows before then.

Yea man that be fab, saves having to make a complete broken arrows 🏹, my arrows i use turkey fletchings, and self nocks & horn nock inserts, very time consuming will help enormously when on shoots..cheers!

So they are called footed arrows in English. I use cedar for the shaft and dark oak for the front. Purpose of if it is simply to stop from exploding, when you use only 1 type of wood it simply explodes 2-7 cms from the tip. So we simply put 3 4 inches of oak in the manner you used your greenwood, though we also use resin on that part and tightly sheath that area with silk thread. Works fine, not cost effective though.

yes go on footed arrows please - also making horn nock inserts while you're at it - please film in smel ' o ' vision so we can enjoy the lovely whiff of sanded buffalo horn!
