I went to a Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum in Gatlinburg, Tennessee in the early 1970s. This was back when things like this were few and far between unlike today.
The small demogorgon plush looks like a strawberry. lol
My only visit to The Egyptian Theatre was for the premiere weekend (Memorial Day) of Alien back in May 1979.
The courtyard originally intended for rolling out the red carpet, was filled with props from the movie such as the alien egg nest and large prop of the space jockey.
The Egyptian Theatre facade had entry courtyard was very different from today’s facade and entry courtyard. Back then the facade towered three stories tall and the entry courtyard was covered.
Much of old Hollywood has been lost to natural disasters and urban redevelopment.
