I was surprised to see André Breton’s name here. I know him from his novel Nadja, but that was it. Love your videos, too. Hope you do more some day!

Dali was suppose to be the emperor in the "first" dune movie.  His "Dream of Venus", I guess you can say the sister work of "The Persistence of Memory" is in the Hiroshima prefecture museum. I have seen it a couple of times, It is odd the Dream of Venus doesn't get as much attention as Persistence of Memory

Ahhh your channel is so good!

Love your videos ❤️

16:20 "Runs the gambit" - the correct turn of phrase is to run the gamut. ; - )

the harlem renaissance should be included in any discussion on american art in-between wars

Thanks so much for all these lectures but I'd like to add Miro's "Dutch Interior" is based on Hendrick Martensz Sorgh's The Lute Player/The Lutenist (1661)

Where is Lecture 17?  Please.

Norman Rockwell as you say is an illustrator and for a time graphical artists seemed to show the way to the craft of drawing. It is having something to aim for and when a person is reaching out to emulate someone, then illustrations had an aim to represent life in picture form. One could see the skill involved in producing a visual format. Unfortunately as you say illustrations is often the lesser in Fine Art.

Hi! really enjoying your lectures. Is there no lecture no. 17? thanks!
