Now we need Lakes of Middle-earth.

Me in 5th grade:

Teacher: Let’s learn about the tributaries of the Mississippi.
Me: <yawn>

Me now:

Darth Gandalf: Let’s go over every river in Middle Earth.
Me: <puts phone on silent and makes popcorn >

The detail in Tolkiens lore is just astounding, I think know it all and I learn stuff every week lol

Next week on River Monsers, only on Animal Arda:

The brilliant parody Bored of the Rings takes great delight in making fun of how everything in Middle Earth has multiple names derived from various languages, and the authors are remarkably good at capturing the flavor of each language while also being wonderfully silly. One of my favorite examples is its version of the river Nimrodel: "The company hastened on into the shallow valley and in less than an hour stood on the west bank of the river Nesselrode, which the dwarves call Nazalspray." We're then treated to Legolas -- sorry, Legolam -- telling the tragically funny story of the elf-maiden Nesselrode, followed inevitably by a song.

Beleriand rivers yet

The river in Lindon is almost certainly the upper reaches of the Gelion.

I find rivers interesting, I grew up on boats and still work on boats, and historically they are very important

As a massive history nerd and LOTR nerd I had to watch this one.

A brilliant video showing how rivers geographically rivers were to the free peoples of middle earth in giving them easily defensible borders to hold against invading armies.

Nice!  Perhaps something on the geographic features of Númenor or Valinor?

Now THIS is the typa content I subscribed for!

this gave me an idea, a video on all Numenorian remnants, like the river adorn there of a few of their still standing fortifications

I live next to the Rhine river, knowing you pissed in there makes me proud.

For a long time I have been naming my home networks after Middle Earth rivers. Currently it is Silverlode.

Ive been working on adapting the map of Middle Earth to be used with the rules for Axis and Allies. This map series has been so useful for finding out about the various provinces: who lives there, who owns it, who is it loyal to, etc

Considering all the rivers whose name translates to "river" (see every Avon in England), the greatest odds are in favor of Adorn just meaning river, like -duin does.  It even looks kind of related.

Middle Earth hydrography ! A great idea I did not even think to suggest previously. Discussing ME Environmental characteristics a bit more would be cool

You forgot to mention the known tributaries of Ringlo: namely the Johnlo, the Paullo and the Georgelo.

New Darth Gandalf video, have the day off and can have some Mexican food.
