No contact, no compromise with narcissists. They will never stop otherwise.

Get a job. 7000 for a party is ridiculous

Stupid is as stupid does. Stop being a doormat!

He should’ve told her to ask Mayas father for the money.

YOUR FAULT !  You allowed this to happen over and over.

For my birthday it's always under $50 food drinks cake and ice cream

Why should a 16 year old deserve 7,200 for a party

There's a difference assisting during an emergency and being obligated to sustain family responsibilities. NO is a boundary family should honor and made to respect.

So they tell the person responsible for their financial status, if he doesn't stay in line, he's out of the family. First question, how is this a threat? Second question, how stupid are these people? "Toe the line son. Or you are out of our prestigious family". "Dad, I am literally the only person keeping this family's prestige, from turning into poverty. What do you think will happen, when you throw me out?" Well, they found out, didn't they?

For what it's worth, I would NEVER live above a dry cleaners. Those chemicals are nasty and evaporate easily to a gas you don't want to breathe.

Unless you are part of the ultra rich who pays over $7000.00 for a birthday. If the family wants that fancy party let them all pay they are selfish narcissistic people.

I know a lot of these are fake, but they are so funny! 😂😂😂

I don't think it's supposed to be funny, but when people get what they deserve, I think that's funny.

So from day one if he had said no we wouldn’t be hearing this stupid story. At least something different. The mother faint at the drop of a hat.

I agree "get a job" she had 16 years to save for this day. I don't understand how people expect everyone to pay for their grand ideas. I also don't understand how people have know pride expecting everyone to pay the bills while they live off everyone thinking that's normal.  I for one worked hard for every cent I have and so can the free loaders that includes family.

Good thing you went to therapy to learn to say no.  Wow!

All year everyone knew the 16th bday was coming up. Plan accordingly.

She sent the ballroom photos along with that $7,200 request? 👀 I wonder how her sister responded to such an expensive demand!

We do more for the kids than we do for the adults

Money wa$ted on parties. And people no longer actually call to make such a massive requests? That rudeness alone requires a loud NO. Extorted and abused then has to pay a therapist to understand the toxicity and why he cannot set boundaries.

Im sorry if someone says pay up or you're out of the family. I say ok and block them.
