When Tom Brady rants, we listen. I edited out all of the bits with myself and Shocking Costs TV, but if you wanna listen to the full discussion, you can find it here - https://www.youtube.com/live/hIhiElXhFLg?is=6d-QiGILVRPqjbxX

He's not lying. That's why TeamSpooky was so hype back in the day. The grudges! It was like Monday Night RAW for FGC. I didn't give a fuck about the game, I wanted to see the trash talk and crashouts!

When Tom opens up about fighting games his passion makes you believe that this niche hobby is the most important thing in the world.

Could listen to tom talk about fighting games for millennia

The biggest proof the FGC is more like professional wrestling??

GOD!

You know what all this Tom and fgc stuff reminded me of? A particular thing that gets overlooked too often is that when you're indulging in a hobby of any sort, both the body and the mind have to be into it or there's gonna be imbalance of some kind. When only the body is into it, the mind will rebel. When only the mind is into it, the body will rebel. When both are in harmony, the rest is history. And both are extremely good at tricking the other to keep doing something that they're not supposed to be doing. So we likely have a ton of people in the fgc that struggle to realize that they should've left years ago.

I see the Jim Cornette comparison is going full force now.

As much as I would absolutely love this idea, the FGC would never do it because the people running the show only cared about the money back then, and they ended up selling it off to people who only care about the money now. All beefs in eSports are fake. All grudge matches in eSports are staged and rigged to favor one particular player over the other to promote a planned narrative that isn't based around entertainment or hype but rather just to shill certain product-oriented or political viewpoints. Hell, many eSports orgs are already making moves towards allowing sports betting, which means organizations like the mafia, yakuza, etc. will be able to gain influential footholds into those industries just like they already do with anything involving gambling (including arcades in Japan, yes the yakuza have influence there too). On the whole, things have just become way too corrupt and will continue to grow even more corrupt.

Modern FGC would call that idea toxic masculinity

As much as FGC hates Melee, they had the best theatrics out of all the games back in the 2010s.  Melee had color matches, money matches, crew battles, and regional battles CONSTANTLY.  I don’t think there is a single FGC match that was as entertaining as Leffen V Chillindude.  The community was eating for months off a single beef set.

Tom has been spitting nothing but facts.

That's why FChamp was so important. Him being the villain made that ass whooping, courtesy of KBR, so legendary

He aint said a single lie! We made LilMajin an All-American hero during his 2018 EVO run, suplexed the gods while was on a TRIP with his wife! The crowd wasnt just electric, Commentary was going IN when LilMajin was showing that GODS COULD BE BEATEN!

Tom is the Jim Cornette of the FGC

And this right here is why melee lived on so long was the storylines between the players.

that sonic impression is lethal

UltraSnake is one of the most insidious figures in the FGC, he is a shill and will backstab anybody to get ahead in “Esports”. Which the FGC has never needed.

Tom’s FGC war stories are so enjoyable to listen to. Dude’s got so much personality, he’s fuckin hilarious

Tom is more fgc then half of the people in the fgc

I could listen to TB talk about the FGC all day, he has such a way with words, can weave an entire story out of two people playing a game!
