Hey everyone! I'm pretty proud of this one so I hope you all enjoy. How similar is Dangai Ichigo to the power he acquired in TYBW, and could we ever see him performing feats like these again? Am I right about Deicide simply being an earlier version of 'The Blade is Me', or am I off-base? Let me know below - thanks everyone!

Dangai ichigo = accepting the terms of service without reading them.

Final form ichigo = reading and accepting the terms of service

The blade is me always makes me shed a tear 🥲. It’s difficult to explain why

Dangai Ichigo and Mugetsu Ichigo are, by a large margin, my favorite character designs in the series.

Dangai Ichigo is so cool.

Dangai is the pinnacle of Ichigo as a character. The Blade Is Me is an evolution. If you want to think of the difference, he is a different character altogether. The importance of The Blade Is Me is that he has accepted all aspects of himself, for better and for worse, he is all his strength and all his flaws.

That face grab ichigo did on aizen was personal. Followed by the get back by catching aizen sword. Ichigo was getting payback.

Dangai Ichigo isn't really that disconnected when Ichigo's true shikai form in the TYBW arc, because if you recall, in his inner world when he's trying to get the answer for the Final Getsuga, his hollow and at the time "old man zangetsu" merge together and that looks the same as ichigo's true shikai in the TYBW arc.

In TYBW, Ichigo uses an asauchi to weild his true power. In Dangai, Ichigo is his own asauchi to become his true power

I truly believe that ichigo’s true Bankai would have incorporated elements of the final getsuga/mugetsu in some shape or form. The anime might even show that if this theory is correct.

Him catching Aizen’s sword then explaining all that mountain clearing was him not Aizen is my favorite part of this fight. It calls back when Aizen did leaving Soul society. Thought the anime did it so well with the theme music going then it subverting expectations when he caught it. Ichigo having payback then giving Aizen a reality check was very cathartic
