I gave up on meeting my love, after being single for years and being hurt in the past. Then this song came along and gave me the courage to give love another go. I found her on the first right swipe, played her this song and we have been together for over 10 years. Thank you Devi

I sat there the same way, first time seeing/hearing it, crying my ass off. <3

During the Pandemic lockdown I listened through my decades old CDs and came across Steve Vai's 1993 album Sex & Religion. And I wanted to know what the singer is doing now.
Turns out the singer was Devin Townsend. And the first songs I heard were Kingodm, Grace and Ih-Ah, all with Anneke. So I looked up what she is doing and fell into that deep rabbit hole of the prog rock family around Arjen Lucassen (Ayreon).

Its been said before. It will be said again. But Devin truely is his own genre of music. Insanely talented.

Anneke is always glorious since her days in the Gathering, she has always had such a powerful voice.

Glad you got a chance to hear this... it's one of my favorites. And I always tear up a bit when I hear it, it's just so powerful.

So,now I think you are ''prepared'' to watch DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT ''Deadhead'' at the Royal Albert Hall. It is important that you watch THIS particular performance. Why? Devin reached the absolute peak of his vocal skills there and the song itself...It is metal,beautiful,painful,haunting,awesome...Please,watch it.

I love that you got to this one, Phoebe. One of my Devin/Anneke faves. I also love that it brought you to tears, it has that power over me too. 'Supercrush' Live is another of my Devin/Anneke faves, hopefully that will make it onto the board at some point. Much love.

1.37 Devin named her in an interveiw "the tinkerbell og Heavy Metal" Anneke ( you ptonounced that right ) is the reason Floor Jansen( After Forever, Re-Vamp, Nightwish) and Simone Simons (Epica) picked up a microphone and wanted to front a Metalband. She he is the god-Mother of Symphonic heavy metal.

ahh Anneke has a wonderful iconic voice:eyes-pink-heart-shape:sounds like an old the Gathering song:face-red-heart-shape:

YYEEEAAAHHHHHH you have no idea how happy I am that you watched this. Important: this is not a religious song,Devin is an atheist. It is a song about humanity, about the ghost in us ,the power within us all. This song changed my life many years ago, . Thank you.

I love music that reminds me how absolutely precious this experience of life is. Music that inspires us to share the emotions this journey inspires in each of us. The sharing of those emotions creates a bond, a human connection that allows love to flow. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and emotions, I am blessed to experience these gifts along with you.
