Would you take a duster and all the money saved with it over any Range Rover? 🤔

Paid the equivalent of 23,800 GBP for the 1.6 Full Hybrid. Journey trim in Sandstone. Yes, there are hard plastics and yes there are plusher alternatives out there. You don't buy a Duster for the frills. You kind of buy it for the lack of frills and joy of joy, an easy way to turn off the warning bells and whistles. 5.2 lt/100km, all the car I need for under 24k? I'll take that all day long.

I've had the full hybrid in an automatic since December and love it. Yes, there are lots of bits that are quite basic, but it's relaxing to drive, reasonably roomy, and rides well (better than my last car, a Skoda Karoq). I'm averaging 53.4 mpg with a mix of driving. Simple but effective.

Hi , great review fellas , I just bought a  2025 Dacia Duster Extreme Trim at my local Renault Dealer ( 5k on the clock ) in Barcelona for 24.200 taxes and fees included. Lovely stuff!

I have had my Duster Journey Full Hybrid since February, never used Eco mode and get easily 55+mpg.
You don't hear the engine that much and as you say, you don't notice the gear changes.
Its not a car that asks to be driven hard, its a nice drive and does all we need.
Yes the plastics are hard, its utilitarian, rugged and wearing well
I'd rather have a Dacia than a cheap Chinese government subsidised crap  from a manufacturer no one has heard of and offers patchy support

20:21 - The key sits perfectly in the rubber slit of the wireless charger. That "storage" space is where drive mode selector sits in 4x4 versions... It is still good for coins.

I have a 4x4 2016 model, purchased for £8000 and it is excellent. Drives very well and given sensible ground clearance takes me anywhere off road I need to go PLUS 47mpg even on serious off road tyres.  Excellent value.

I have renault branded 1.3T top spec and love it. We also have a tiguan which is double the price, but far from double the car

Great review lads, ive just ordered the full hybrid Duster, got the expression trim cos for me it's got all i need, and in ireland that model is 34k euro so i dont see the point in spending even more for the top trim. Loved it on test, and cant wait to get it. Yes, it's all plastic, but that's the whole point of the Duster, functional, utilitarian, good honest car

Great review! These are all over Europe for a reason. Im on the hunt for a new car and this is in the mix. Im a single dad and need a tough little 4x4 to do what i need it to do.

Nice, mechanically simple, based on tried and trusted components.

Had two of these one after the other, when they first arrived in the UK. bloody loved them. First was the first Gen, front wheel drive top of the range petrol. Upgraded the sound system, had a retractable roof post factory and the tyres changed. Was a great bonus with a growing family and shopping!!!
Then I got a second gen model some fourish years later to a top of the range 4x4 manual OMG, black leather (Real cost me £650 extra) full spare tyre not a space saver. Hardmon Kardmon infotainment system with an Arkamys amplifier with a cd/dvd player (Kids could watch the infotainment system in the back of the car with headphones on long journeys). The front had an extra set of halogen lights with smart Dacia covers in black protecting them when not needed. Had a big enough sat nav.
It was so comfy, and a pleasure to drive held the road brilliantly.
Sadly I fell ill and could no longer drive a manual car, but then I met the Renault Koleos and that's another story.....

I have no idea about cars but I'm gonna pass my test soon and thinking of getting this one :)

You have a new subscriber. He's informative, attention keeping, funny and tall.

This would be my third Duster. Love them!

Love my Duster Journey 155 full hybrid. Brilliant car. The only issue is with the auto system. The 'P' button is what you press to park it. It also sets the handbrake to on. The P button must ONLY be pressed when the vehicle is stationary. However, at very low speeds, like driving in a car park, if someone, like my wife, drops her handbag on the P button, the car will stop like it's hit a wall. This is most disconcerting and potentially dangerous. My point is, if the button must ONLY be pressed when stationary, it shouldn't be available until the vehicle IS stationary.

I really like the look of this thing, it’s like a mini Bronco. I like it from all angles. I currently own a Kia Nero HEV and it’s a great car I just wish it was 4x4 and sat little higher, much like this Duster. The latest model is a 1.8 4x4 hybrid, and I’ve seen some really impressive off road driving with that model.

Just bought a Duster as I need 4x4 and want to keep the cost down. Thing is the Duster is really funky and looks very cool inside and out reminiscent of the original Panda 4x4.

Can you do a review on the Dacia spring? Pre reg ones are now between 10-12k for top spec on Autotrader, there’s nothing available like it for the money. They are an absolute hoot to drive very cheery and characterful

I have the mild hybrid voyager duster and the only annoying point is the intermittent over revving of the engine on the motorway which sound as if the head gasket will blow!
Garage have reported it as normal behaviour but |I am demanding a written statement to protect me!!
