50% of his profits from the shows goes to charity, always have and still do to this day. He is a real life gent off stage.

"You fat bastard" is what is shouted by the audience when he starts his routine. This clip is tame compared to his normal routine. He is very funny🤣🤣

Every person has their own tastes. Chubby is vile rude and totally honest about his act. I bloody love him 🇬🇧

I met Chubby when I lived in Mallorca. He was over on holiday and was drinking in my local bar. Lovely guy and told loads of jokes without swearing. He only swears like that when he performs.

He's 77 yrs old and still going strong in the towns where he's not been cancelled !

Chubby is brilliant, he said once he was mugged at knife point, he could tell the mugger was local cos the knife still had butter on it 😂

Chubby at one time was the highest earning comedian in the whole country , success that he worked really hard for constantly touring and pounding the comedy circuit over decades . It is fair to say not everyone in the UK appreciates Chubbys humour even at his peak , but that's ok it never stopped his popularity. A lot of his jokes and references will be lost on non Uk folk but you get the gist of most of it .

Aaah roy chubby brown, Real Name Royston Vasey which is also the name of the village in The League of Gentlemen, which you watched a clip from the other day!

“I’m as sick as fuck”, “I’m a cunt” and “Dolly’s Rockets” classic songs as well!

Fun fact: The Village in the BBC comedy League of Gentlemen is named Royston Vasey, this is in homage to Roy chubby Brown as it is his real name.

That is very tame for Chubby! His voice is croaky because he had throat cancer in 2004 and had 2 of his vocal chords removed but I saw him live last month and his voice is pretty strong for his age and for the condition his throat is in! Away from the stage he is a wonderful person who has raised millions for charity and 70% of what his merchandise makes goes to charity as well as 100% of what people donate to do a meet and greet with him! He is a genuinely nice guy!

Saw him live , early eighties in Leeds. Second time in Tiffanys, the only time in my life i thought i was going to die of laughing🤣🤣🤣

I have seen him live twice. Tears really ran down my face with laughter! TBH, I only have to look at his face and I can't stop laughing!

I’ve seen him at Roxys in Sheffield many years ago. You can’t go away from his show without a smile on your face😂

Saw Chubby playing in a charity cricket match many years ago. He was mic'd up and as it was the middle of the day with kids there he was utterly charming - very very funny, and can still be funny when he's not playing his stage character.
