€14.5M Modern Mansion in Marbella | Brutal Expectations | Villa HG

At this price point, expectations are brutal — and not every luxury villa survives that test.

Today we’re touring Villa HG, a modern architectural statement listed at €14,500,000, located in Marbella’s exclusive Golf Valley, within walking distance to La Quinta Golf and just minutes from Puerto Banús and Marbella’s Golden Mile.

This is a home designed to impress: bold architecture, generous volumes, and a setting that delivers both privacy and views. But beyond the aesthetics, the real question is whether this level of luxury truly works as a place to live — something we explore throughout the tour.

€14.5m to live on La Quinta is utterly bonkers, no matter the size and quality of fit and finish. You get no security, no land, no privacy, and a pool area with a road in front of it. House is nice enough but you can have Zagaletta or Madronal for that money.

Where have you guys gone? Miss watching you when I have my Sunday breakfast. :(

The house is a pretty safe take on a modern design. Big box, very non offensive interior. You don't hate it, you don't love it, it's white with some tasteful accents. But the plot is boxed in by streets, almost no private driveway, and another street in front of your pool. And it's not the crazy views from La Zagaleta either. It's a good house, just not a 14.5 Million one.

Stunning home with a lot of wasted space. A bit too white for my liking that wooden floors could have resolved the issue especially in the basement. With the exception of the master bedroom all the other bedrooms look identical. The house desperately needs a pop of colour so all the artwork on the wall has to be changed. The kitchen looks incomplete and a lot of the views are obstructed by overgrown trees. The entrance looks like a mini upscale shopping center in Dubai that artwork and a grand piano would have softened the first impression.

This house is exactly to my taste.
The brightness, the lighting and the colors - simple but elegant.
It has everything I would want in a house like this. Simply perfect.
Your interplay in the presentation is really good and peppered with humor.

The Marbella housing bubble is finally bursting. Very few properties have been sold this year, and prices for numerous homes have had to be slashed rapidly as sellers sense the risk of a collapse. The market is overpriced by 40–60% when compared to construction costs and land prices.

Hey chaps, really enjoy the channel but have a question. . Have you stopped doing the interesting, individual, unique and more homely properties that you used to feature? Realistically, all these recent properties are virtually the same identical boxes with the same fittings, interiors, etc, and once you've seen one, you've seen them all.

Besides a slight privacy issue with being overlooked by some neighbours this is actually a pretty damn good home. No glaring issues, no loud decor, very good indeed.

I really like the house. There are a couple of issues though. There is not really a wow factor when you come in with your car. When you enter the house you do get kind of a wow factor with the direct view to the outside with the pool but but the ocean is mostly obstructed by trees. The ceilings are really low. I do like there is no extractor hanging from the ceiling in the kitchen so it looks a lot more clean. The kitchen is mainly for show as there is not a lot of storage space. The fridge is massive, really nice. The chefs kitchen is nice to have, but even in the chefs kitchen there is not a lot of storage as far as I can see. Overall there is a lot of light coming into the home. The office is too small and very basic. Also the location is not right. You would expect it to be at the entrance so you would not be bothered by kids while you are working and if you have someone coming over for business they do not have to go through the house. A cinema room on a different level than the living part will mean it will almost never be used in practice, especially if you already have a tv area. Glass railing is not really great to grab when you lose your balance for example. And it also leaves a lot of stains; I would have had a wooden railing on top of the glass actually. The bedrooms look nice. Also great that some of the closets have glass doors so you do not have to look far for the things you need. I like the pocket doors throughout the house. An elevator is really great to have. Especially if you get older or you have older people coming over. The master bedroom is nice and big. Great walk-in closet. The house is situated directly on the street. I wonder how much noise you would get because of that. Fitness area is way too small. I do like the special gym equipment. Nice big swimming pool. I really like the outdoor setup. I do notice several houses that can look into your garden so there are some privacy issues. But overall a really nice house. Great quality filming and I always like your videos.
