Now i know why my hermit crabs like to walk as far away from the pistol shrimp mound as possible. Like they literally push their shells up against the glass and walk sideways around it.

Tiger pistol shrimp are the biggest and by far the most aggresive. I would recommend a red banded pistol shrimp and a yasha goby

Nice to see you back, long time no see why?Good video.

The whole reason I got a salt water aquarium was for a pistol shrimp. 40 gal tank never got one. I am thinking of getting one in a 29 gallon tank

thats hilarious... I had the same prob with mine.. was a hermit graveyard.. its like he collected the shells as trophies.. Ive added a goby without a pistol to my new tank...he can dig his own burrows lol. Question is how the hell you get the shrimp out? Only way i could was to remove all the rocks he hid under.... welcome back man..

Thx yea that’s what I know too

He ain't lying, I've been freshwater for 7 years, always stayed from saltwater. Watched Goby and Pistol Shrimp pair few days ago and it blew my mind how cool it was. Bout to make a 20g saltwater for first time this weekend.

you think thats bad my pistol shrimp is a coral theif. he stole a 9 head frag of purple hornet zoas :(. he hasn't killed anything yet but he likes to use live snails to make his doors lol.

Good tip..

Thanks for this video. I was thinking about getting a pistol shrimp but I have several hermit crabs, snails, and 4 other types of shrimp sooooo I'm going to pass on Pistol Pete.

Good recommendation! Remember when you and I had chatted about the frustration of not being able to upgrade to larger tank? I finally was able to! I purchased a used 65 gallon four foot shallow rimless tank. Super happy about it but the stand it came with is on the large size so I need to figure out how to make one of these. Any recommendations of what fish I should stock it with? I'll be putting my 2 Picasso clowns and 1 Banggani Cardinal from my 38 gallon. I know it's random but had to share with you. It was one of those deals I couldn't say no to. Super stoked!

How did you get your pistol shrimp out the tank? I want to remove mine without removing all of my live rock

What size of tank did you have for your pistol shrimp?

Project power brought me here

your tank is too small for that kind of pistol shrimp

Are you gone?

When's the next post?

Pedro is an old man

fuuuck, i just bought a goby/pistol lol wish me luck

i cant catch him !!!!    you scared me   and it makes sense why i have hardly any crabs rn     )-=
