I bought one of these in 2017 for $385, used it twice, left it full of gas and didn't touch it again until the big ice storm hit in January 2026. It wouldn't hit a lick, as expected. When things thawed, I dumped out the gas, changed the plug, used several of your tips (thankfully, I didn't have to do everything you did because I'm not that skilled), got it running with starter fluid, put in some Stabil carb cleaner and let it go for 15 minutes, then added fresh gas and it now works like a champ. Going to keep it maintained from now on AND keep fresh gas on hand!

Thank you so much. Was long but you showed me all the struggles and how to get it. Now to do mine. Thank you again so helpful!

Really appreciated this video- saved my carb and generator! Thank you.

Appreciate the work. I have one and this is a Big help. Thanks

I watched another video here on ytube on the same model that had fuel issues. He found that there are also a couple of very small filters inside the fuel lines that can get plugged up. So if you are having fuel issues you might want to keep that in mind and make sure that you are getting good flow to the carb. The video was by slickjimmy

Great detailed cleaning of the carb on your Wen unit. Very thorough. Well done 👍🏻🇨🇦🥓

Thanks. Am getting an open frame generator now.

This video was a great guide for the repair of my generator. Thank you so much

I can't believe how much hassle it was to get that carb off! I've got a Chinese 3500W gen and it's 2 screws for the side panel, 1 bolt for the air filter, small bolt for the throttle assembly, 2 carb bolts then it's off......10 mins max. I guess they don't put some of these things together with mantenance/repairs in mind.

There is a pilot jet that should also be cleaned.  It's plastic with a brass insert and is accessible from the top.  It's held in place by a single Phillips screw and a retainer plate.

Thanks for showing this.  I have the same generator with the same issue.  Now, I can go fix it this weekend.  Thank you.

Have exact same generator same issue no start ,watched this video decided I wasn’t going to all that trouble was able to get bowl off ,hit it with a little air and a shot of carb cleaner, started right up

great video thanks

Whew! I couldn't watch past about the 15 minute point. I would never be able to remember where each screw went on the reassemble. Do you take suggestions? YouTube videos get the best response when they're 15 minutes or less. Sometimes they speed up parts like taking screws out or just cut most of those sections out. And I'm going to get you a cordless drill for Christmas to take all those screws out. Thank you for your effort!

You could have saved yourself a lot of time by simply taking the screw out of the carburetor bowl and then you could have used a can of carb cleaner with a stem attached to blow out the jets. You can also remove the float and the needle this way so you can check the needle and look at the seat with a mirror.  I learned this trick many years ago as a small engine mechanic when it's hard to remove the carb. The air filter element should be oiled with a small amount of engine oil to help it trap dirt per the operators manual.

can you go into more detail about the low speed idle jet?

This is the same engine I believe in the EcoFlow Smart Generator both regular and duel fuel.

My emulsion tube doesn’t have a screwdriver slot.😢

Excelente video, aprendí mucho. Muy buena la forma como lo hace .

Have a similar Westinghouse generator that wasn't getting any gas.  Took everything apart very similar to this video and the little side jet was clogged.  When pulling out the float I didn't notice the attached little needle valve and dropped it somewhere on my garage floor.  I got super lucky I was able to find it later on.  After reassembling everything back up the generator works perfectly :)
