Hell House has no business being as good as it is. Since first watch a few years ago, the franchise has become such a comfort watch for me.

Hey could you do a video for Hellhouse LLC?

I'm with you here... the first Hell House LLC and The Carmichael Manor are banger found footage films... and those simple little piano notes creep into my head every so often and won't stop repeating there.

The house worked so well because it’s a real haunted attraction you can go to.

The scene where Paul wakes up to see the girl sitting against the wall is one of the scarier scenes I've seen in film. I don't do well with weird uncanny eyes.

That damn clown makes my skin crawl in the best way possible 🥰

My issue with Lineage is that you REALLY have to know all the lore. There are minor details through out all the movies that have significant impact later on.

You can go to the actual hotel. It’s a haunt in Pennsylvania. It’s called Waldorf Estate of Fear. I personally wouldn’t go in the basement.

I'm a lifelong horror fan, and this is the only movie that scared adult me enough to cover my eyes. Hell, I was still scared hours later when I got out of bed in the middle of the night to get some water. The tension waiting for that damn clown to move is just incredible. I didn't get nearly as scared watching the second and third movies, but Carmichael Manor came pretty damn close. Can't wait for you to cover the rest of the series!

Lmao I just realized now that Sarah’s name totally gives it away from the beginning! Sarah means princess or lady in Hebrew and Havel means vapor or mist.

This quickly became such a great comfort film for me along with Carmichael Manor which honestly I think might be slightly better and scarier than this first movie. Can’t wait for you to cover that one too.

To this day I argue with my girlfriend about that movie. She hated it, and to me it’s a spectacular success in the genre. I love it

Had a soft spot for HH:LLC for years. I actually thought it was older. When Evan said it only released in 2015 and came onto streaming in 2016, I was thinking "I'm sure I watched that film at least 15 years ago".

This is one of my favorite spooky season rewatches.

This is by far one of the best indie horror movies I've ever seen. Honestly, if it had been released at the same time Blair Witch came out, Hell House would have absolutely destroyed Blair Witch in ticket sales.

This movie is genuinely terrifying. I still just watch it during the day. The only one in the series to match it was Carmichael Manor.

I recently watched this because of your recommendation, and it surprised me! As someone who loves The Taking of Deborah Logan, the first Cloverfield, Creep franchise, and honestly thought The Visit was better than people give it credit for, creative implementations of the found footage horror genre are some of my favorites to watch, but I've seen so many bad ones I was really worried to try one I hadn't heard of before. But this movie really got to me, it was awesome!

My absolute favorite movie. It's my comfort movie. Sleep sweet.

I've just had an awful day. You talking about my favorite series filmed in my area is just what I needed. I would love to just chat film with you and the crew.
