A few months ago I shared my honest first impressions of the Thermomix TM7 as an experienced home cook. That video sparked qute a few thoughtful comments and questions from Thermomix owners, prospective buyers, and home cooks around the world.

So... has my opinion changed?

After using the Thermomix TM7 several times a week for the past six months, I'm taking another honest look at whether this premium kitchen appliance has truly earned its place in our home.

• Who I think the Thermomix is really designed for
• Whether I would buy it again

Along the way, I'm also making a Bloody Mary in the Thermomix for the very first time. I've never tried this recipe before, so you'll get my honest reaction as we find out together whether it's worth adding to the recipe collection!

🍅 Thermomix Bloody Mary Recipe:

Lemon peel from 1 lemon
1tsp black peppercorns
lemongrass or lemongrass paste to taste
V8 Spicy Hot Vegetable Juice (or any tomato juice you like) about 28 oz
fresh basil - a handful
lemon juice from 1 lemon
1/2 Jalapeno or serrano chili pepper (deseeded for a milder version)
1/2 tsp pepper
1tsp sugar
1tsp celery salt
8-10 oz Vodka
1 1/2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
Horseradish to taste (2tsp is a good start)
Salt to taste (1-2tsp)
a few ice cubes for mixing

celery, olives shrimp or whatever other garnish you like.

Grin the lemon peel with the peppercorns first, then add the other ingredients (including the ice) and blend it until smooth.
