He actually sounded happy in this interview. It’s absolutely heart wrenching the direction his life took from 43 to 53. So very sad. Beautiful voice and beautiful soul.
I love his voice so much. It's the only one I can listen to everyday, on an endless loop. His speaking voice is as magical and wonderous as his singing. The sound of his laughter makes me smile. Thank you very much for sharing and for keeping his unique talents alive. All so treasured. Loved and missed. Always.
Yeah, he does have a great voice...speaking and of course singing. And his British accent is just so sexy and irresistible! He really was the man with the golden voice ! And then of course the talent that wouldn't quit until his last days. So sad that he left this earth period, but especially prematurely because he was only in his early 50's. That's really the biggest tragedy. A life cut short with so much talent and creativity yet to be expressed, I'm sure. I definitely wish he would of written that life story he mentions here. It would have been fascinating reading, I'm sure ! George was my favorite "Lefty poof" to quote George himself !Love it when he said that ! I love that he was a Lefty and that he stood up for his political beliefs during the last decade or so of his life. Finally, it's both eerie and especially sad, to think that this interview was in 2007 and George had less than ten years left of his life. That's a shame. I still miss him like a brother that he could have been. We were born in the same year. Peaceful rest to you, dear George, and thanks so much for the beautiful music.
I miss George so much on so many levels. He was always an interesting interview. His musical talents intelligence and integrity can never be overstated. His speaking voice was as Angelic as his singing voice. What a loss he was to the music industry and to humanity.
George was so content in that 2004-07 period, by the time 25live came to Australia in early 2010 you could see things had changed, but I love every version of George.
