Prismacolor Premier colored pencils vs Ohuhu alcohol markers? Yes, it’s an odd pairing, but I was curious to find out which one I liked better for coloring–colored pencils or alcohol markers? To be honest, I wasn’t even sure I could definitively answer the question–watch to find out.

I never color w pencil alone. I underpaint w the ohulu alcohol markers w the lightest color and then do the blends with the pencils and it looks soooo pretty together.

I really prefer the control I have with color pencils. I choose them over alcohol markers.

Alcohol markers are so easy to use, but they are difficult to use in most coloring books. I usually reach for my colored pencils.

So pretty! Purple is my favorite color, too. Both sides are pretty but I like the alcohol markers a little bit better because they look smoother.

I love the way you blend all of the colors! So pretty!

I love the full coverage of the markers ❤

They are equally beautiful to me. I can’t choose one over the other. Super gorgeous!!!♥️♥️♥️

Hi, you make it so simple and easy to watch . Love both sides, and again the music 🎶 beautiful. Love it.😊

Like them both - agree on the orange marker flowers but the green colored pencil vase. Usually depends on my coloring book, and also pain and energy levels. What a great comparison video, now I can decide more easily depending on how I’m feeling.

Your nails are so pretty.

I love them both, but for different reasons, so ultimately, I think I;d like to see the alcohol markers as the base, with the prismacolours on top so the texture was still evident. Those cards are so beautiful, Jennifer.

I think it is truly the colors that I would say effect my preferences. I liked the red violet of the Prismacolors on the purple and the pop of the orange of the alcohol markers!! 😊

It's pencils all the way for me. I didn't enjoy alcohol markers, and sold the big set I bought. I love the look that they give, but dealing with caps, having to work quickly, bleed through, availability of refills, etc just wasn't for me. Pencils allow me to slow down and enjoy the process, they last longer, and I just find them much more enjoyable to use.

I love them both together but when I have too choose I love the markers more too color with!

@FluffyDogMom3 4 months ago

I like the colored pencils. It looks so much more organic and beautiful ❤️

@NerionLuno42 4 months ago

I like the look on both sides.
my kind of jam is to paint the most with watercolours or very diluted gouache and use coloured pencils on top for the finishing touches. They are all kinds of brushes to use for finest details to large areas and the colours are easier to mix than with markers or coloured pencils.

@MarlaMoran 4 months ago

I like both, you are very good no matter what kind of media you used. Thanks Jennifer to show us the difference and the way to coloring.😘

Who here is also searching the comments for the El Dorado "Both, Both is good" Meme? Alcohol Markers for the background, and Colored Pencils for the details, (plus it saves on the color pencils some).

@astrid4328 4 months ago

i entered your giveaway but didn't know you would get the bliss set with the pencils, this is even better!!!

@libralto564 4 months ago

I agreed instantly with your choices on the second card. I thought the urn was too dark on the marker side, and the flowers done with the Prismas were too light.
