Who’s your champion? Mario 🍄 or Sonic 💙

It’s crazy how the franchise took a massive turn after the first movie, from a perspective of a Sonic and SEGA fanboy as a whole. It’s absolutely insane and a lot of people really don’t understand. I’m really excited for Shuji Utsumi’s leadership and I’m really confident that Sonic and SEGA’s amazing IPs will make a fantastic comeback. Nice video btw❤️✨

It's crazy how much sonic pushed down Nintendo and then Nintendo pushed down sega
After the huge fails of sonic its crazy that his biggest comeback in the 2020s the first sonic movie
And now a successful billion dollar trilogy sonic made a huge comeback while Mario hasn't lost
Any of his charm, both are great characters

They are both legends. They shaped my childhood.

There can never be a more iconic rivalry in the world of gaming!!!

@Luke-tg7yt 1 year ago

possibly the greatest rivalry in gaming history ⚔️ 💥

As an 80s baby, I thoroughly enjoyed this video. I love Sonic with Bayonetta being my 2nd favorite Sega character, but I've always been Team Mario. 🍄⭐

No awesome video game rivalry like this will ever repeat itself again.

To be Fair, I never played any sonic games from the late 2000's and 2010's because I played so many Mario Games From my Good old days and then played sonic games in the 2020's and watched both movies

And in 2012, I discovered Mario & Sonic at the London Olympics Games, that's when I Love Both Franchises At the Same Time! And I knew they would became Friends.

Seeing The video game Rivalry For Years was So Wild, but for my opinion I think the rivalry was Dying down.

I still think about how Mario was one of the first gaming franchises I've ever played yet initially never thought I would have much involvement (if any) with Sonic. Today, even though I still enjoy playing Mario, Sonic has been my world since the early summer of 2001. Now even if Mario is number one when it comes to being iconic, popular, and successful, his history seems to be really straightforward. Many of Mario's games have been released to rave reviews while his handful of ill-fated titles such as Hotel Mario are hardly ever talked about in general. Sonic, on the other hand, has perhaps has the most interesting and storied history when it comes to video game franchises. Sonic had numerous ups and downs since his 1991 introduction to the world, and he even faced singing his swan song numerous times. Despite his road being filled with speed bumps and other obstacles and adversities, he's somehow still going. Talk about resilience!

Now I still remember how bad of a time it was to be a Sonic fan during the late 2000s. Smack-talk about Sonic was so frequent it actually made me feel as if people hated him simply because I liked him. Even today, there are some people out there who hate Sonic so much that they continue to compare him unfavorably to everything else and even go as far as to wish he and SEGA never existed. Despite all this slander towards Sonic, SEGA, and their fans, I'm grateful to know that I can take solace in the fact that I'm not so alone in having so much admiration, love, and support for gaming's blue blur. Besides, Sonic has done a magnificent job of proving that you don't have to be number one to earn such admiration, love, and support. In fact, sometimes being the underdog helps.

As much as I was a Sonic kid growing up, both of them are iconic and shaped my childhood❤

@Shadow-Joop-157 1 year ago

I would never understand why the International Olympic Committee broke the deal with Sega and Nintendo.

No one is going to buy those games without two of the most iconic franchises in gaming.

And although the last game sold very poorly, with how cheap those games are to make and Sonic's newfound popularity, a new game would probably have made a lot of money.

@matterspidersecondchannel204 1 year ago

Both of them would be just friends cause there are no winners in life. (Also you forgot about sonic racing crossworlds)

8:00 Crash Bandicoot didn't reach their popularity because he was never supported like them. Crash kept getting tossed around between companies till it ended up with Xbox. If PlayStation owned the IP back in 1996, crash would be as big as them.

yk it's strange how even today people will somehow find a way to get the two against each other (*cough cough* mk world vs sonic racing crossworlds)
anyhow great video; i've been finding these pretty informative ever since i subscribed to you
