Great restoration! To complete the job, you need to align the letters so they are properly spaced vertically and aligned horizontally. Spacing is adjusted by bending the levers (type bars), and horizontal alignment is adjusted by resoldering the keyslugs (the letter bits). The parallelism of the keyslug with the paper is also important, so the letters appear evenly.
I used to repair my mother's typewriter in the sixties, and print alignment was the most critical part of any repair. I learned how to do this by watching technicians make these adjustments. Back then, I was in the 7th or 8th grade.

Back then machines were built to be repaired for generations, not replaced every 3 years.

These machines and cash registers of the day just amaze me.  I wonder what nerd designed these, and how many flow charts, diagrams of each piece, angle tilt of each key, etc. etc. were made.  Then to make the first working model....  Human IQ amazes me ....

The only real downsides I see to this restoration are the painting of some of the moving mechanical parts, might be better served by cold-bluing, and the original logo looked way better than the generic font used for the restoration. Otherwise, good on you cleaning this old typewriter up, and getting it working again.

Where I grew up the neighborhood I lived in had a Type Writer Repair Shop and I got Interested in the workings of Type Writer's and as I got older I the Interest had increased. Especially when my Grandmother and Mother had them and I NEVER realized that there are so many Part's , Piece's, Screw's and Spring's were used in the assembly. "Antique typewriter from 1947..." so 2 years before I was born. Gee, thanks a lot. I learned to type on my Mom's old Underwood that probably dated from about 1940 when she started secretarial school. I remember the keys were really hard to push down - she must have had very strong fingers. I had a portable manual in college that served me well. I didn't type on an electric typewriter until I was well into my 20s.

That is very good work. You made this Type Writer from Russia great again.

I work on a lot. Cars, fans, computers, etc. I just finished rebuilding a crt tv today. I wouldn't dare touch a typewriter. If I did it will never be whole again lol. They're so complex with so many parts that there's no way I could remember how it goes back together. You are braver than I.
