I like how I waited to release this on the 1 year mark of the database breach

I don’t think I’ll ever forget this. They should have had better security in the beginning, it’s sad that it took that many accounts for them to implement a better security system.

The concerning thing is that they could have hacked parent emails compared to normal game accounts. Imagine your email getting hacked, someone on internet using your name, knowing your address, knowing your personal info. They gotta worry more about partnering with a special cyber police group or something to avoid this kind of things happening. If emails get hacked, this could result in the HQ getting sued over this sort of thing. Its good that they took action right now tho

i lost my account with all my friends on it and I never got it back 🤠👍🏻

This is so disappointing. I can remember how afraid everyone was and the panic it caused, even for me. I’m happy everything is somewhat safe now, but I still definitely don’t rely on this game to be safe at this point. Thanks for sharing, Kek, we appreciate it!😅

When I saw the title I almost had a heart attack,, I thought another breach happened recently-

Yeahhhh I couldn't change my password for the longest time. When I did, my rarest items were taken, my beloved gray double tail as well. I'm still really mad about it but I'll work for winning them back! This hurt a lot of Jammers, however let's bounce back and continue on! Even if others lost items, we can always get them back.

Could never forget the breach, i lost many things just like a lot of other people, and I did not find out about it until I logged back in after the new year.

The fact that they got 46million accounts is horrible :( imagine if someone like.. into kids got an address or gender or age of someone and it went bad? How could ajhq be so clueless ??

4 of my friends were hacked during the breach, scary to think about even though they're older than me.

I lost my account because of this and thats how i quit animal jam 😭

Honestly, what kinda angers me is how info was just sitting in a dm, like an open minefield... I get that the team probably didn't think they would get ANY of their accounts hacked (as in, the admins/moderators or whoever worked there with the info) but still, it just makes me slightly makes me feel like the info was there for how ever long, kinda like a ticking time bomb. But that's my overall opinion on it, maybe I'm hearing this wrong dunno 🤷

I remember when it happened… All of my stuff got signed into and I never played animal jam again… But after hearing they got a better security, I think I might get it again…

is this game even safe anymore

I recently got hacked and my entire firefly collection is gone, I had 100+ non lash flies. I don’t care about the hds and high worth items I lost, I just want my flies back. Hurts seeing them on everyone’s trades list as theyre scattered around in aldan right in front of me. I named and loved every single one of them 🙃
I had an extremely complicated password so there has to have been another breach

Wait if they cracked the hashes in the passwords, I have a feeling this is the reason why I was hacked 2 weeks in a row- But on another note why would animal jam put the key to animal jam’s data for the game and stuff and leave it sitting in a group chat, that’s a problem. I also got hacked in the data breach because my actual gmail was one of my spare accounts and I didn’t know until I went on a website to see if I got hacked or not, so the fact that animal jam left the key that caused the breach makes me a little upset.

lmfao i was one of those ppl, lost my blue headdress ive had for 5 years and asked for some type of compensation anddddd they said no practically HAHA

thats ALOT of accounts, and that sucks :/

This sucked so much, I lost everything. I had a blue headdress, 2 party hats I think red and a blue, loads of long spikes both collar and wrist, cami frog, gecko plushie both orange and green, all the rare nature archways and all the beta elf tail armor and so much more. I literally left the game for 2 years after this because I just felt like all the years I spent collecting everything was for nothing.

They even deleted a few of my animals.

I was one of the accounts to be hacked, I lost my tan had, orange party hat, and so much more.
