The internet is absolutely full of terrible Jeep advice. So we sat down, rolled up our sleeves, and destroyed the worst of it... one at a time.

This is the stuff the guys hear all the time. In the comments. In the shop. At the trailhead from a guy who read it on a forum once and now treats it as gospel. And a lot of it is not just wrong, it is the kind of wrong that costs people money, breaks parts, and occasionally ends up stranded on the side of the trail.
"You don't need to regear" and why that hidden money is exactly what separates a good build from a frustrating one.
"A steering stabilizer fixes death wobble" and why a band aid is not a fix.
"Bigger tires automatically mean more traction" and why it actually depends entirely on terrain.
"If it bolts on, it works together" and the imaginary Illuminati meeting where all the aftermarket companies supposedly coordinate their parts.
"A more expensive shock is automatically better" and why the right shock beats the priciest one every time.
"The factory axle is fine because my friend runs 40s on stock axles" and why that friend is living on borrowed time.
Ask questions. Do your own research. Learn your build, because when something goes wrong three hours from the trailhead, you are the one who has to fix it. You cannot buy your way through everything.
Drop your own worst Jeep advice in the comments. What have you heard out there that made you cringe?
