As a man who couldn't be any less intelligent when it comes to cars - I used a work based scheme to get a car. I've never had an electric car, let alone an "update to date" car. I used this video to get myself introduced to what I'm to expect and given I'm an absolute newbie when it comes to cars, this was perfectly explained, I didn't get bored and I watched until the end. Just bought a 73 plate 2024 V3 77kMh model in Vapour Grey.Picking it up on Friday.I’m a die hard petrol head and have never given EVs a single thought.Well,not a positive one anyway.But,I’ve always liked the Borns size and shape and after spending most of last Saturday talking to family about their Teslas.I gave Autotrader a once over to see what the prices were like.Booked a test drive for Sunday morning and was very happy with the Born.Pleasantly surprised.So it’s bye bye to my BMW 420d Gran Coupe which i absolutely love,and hello Cupra.It’s got big shoes to fill,so here’s hoping i don’t get a bad bout of buyers remorse.

When it comes to DC charging the "up to" is all nice and dandy (actually it is pretty pointless IMHO and just there to go "big number better"), but what would be more useful is the average 10/20-80% DC charging charge rate. My Tesla M3 technically has 250kW peak, but hits that only for a moment, when the battery is really drained, so really gets about 90kW over it's whole charge cycle.

Your explanation of the haptic buttons, which so many seem to hate, is very sober.
Would I prefer real buttons, absolutely, but after 2 test drives before buying, I actually don't think it's a big problem, and I got used to them pretty fast.

I had the Renault R4 high on the list, better buttons and Google is superior to the Born.
But the seating comfort, visibility, and handling are (for me) just a tad better in the Born.
And the Born puts a smile on my face.
The Danish version of the V1 is currently called Valida, and does not have e-boost and navigation is optional. Otherwise, pretty well equipped from the factory.
Heat pump, 360 camera, HUD, decent speakers etc.

Same as my 24 plate V2, great car.... info system is slow and glitchy.... 200 miles winter 300 summer...price gone down on leasing too.

Did you test the speakers? I’m collecting my CUPRA born in a few weeks, but the Sennheiser pack sold out before I could order mine, hoping the stock speakers are decent
