Digital Product Tutorial (How to Create a Welcome Sign in Canva to Sell on Etsy)

Erika

8,978 views

In this video, we go through the entire process of designing a welcome sign in Canva that can be sold on Etsy. This is a GREAT product to sell if you are in the party printables/invitation niche. The best part? You don't actually have to hold any inventory or print anything yourself! The customer edits the template and prints it themself (and yes, people do buy this!). I walk you through the designing process in Canva, as well as how to create the download PDF and the mockups.

I’ve been focusing on invites for my shop and was JUST thinking about starting signs! This came at the perfect time!!

Have you experience customer problem when they try to download the sign with a free Canva account? I'm afraid to sell a the template and get a bad review because they don't get a good resolution to print.
Edit: Thank you so much for this tutorial! And congratulation on all the hard work you put on building your business. :)

Hi! Thank you for this video it was very helpful. I wanted to just let you know that the other day I had accidentally used a pro font and when I clicked download, I didn’t get the message about saving money, so just a heads up!

Do you sell them together with the invite card? Or cross reference?

Hi Erika, thank you for sharing your experiences and tutorials! Do you print each of your designs to verify the colors and print quality? I’ve noticed Canva colors can look really different digitally versus in print. I hit a bottleneck in my process, printing and optimizing colors. Do you have any suggestions? Or am I just complicating things? Thank you!

If I don't have canva pro how do I create the same poster but different sizes?

@capillacristianadepiscopis6758 10 months ago

Hi Erika. Are you using the new guidelines to write titles on Etsy? I have 20 products and only 14 views after a months and a half. I worry K must he doing something wrong. I am in the same niche as you. I appreciate your advice.

Anyone from America... What is the standard home printer page size?

I'm from South Africa and we use A4... But apparently it's not the same for USA?

@SheilaChau-p6t 4 months ago

Thank you for sharing. Why can't we just copy and paste everything and then lock everything needed on the template instead of duplicating original and downloading?

@tiffa.marie731 10 months ago

Hey, do you add a size chart? Im starting to add welcome signs & was looking for size charts so people don’t get confused. Or should I just write the sizes it includes?
