How refreshingly sensible, and with the power to inspire. Such a contrast to bombastic abuse wrapped in drivel that comes from south of Canada’s border.

Thank you Canada for moving closer to Europe, and considering to become part of the European family. You have a real leader! A man with good strong values behind which I can fully stand. I am a German grandma, once married to an American GI Joe. Both of my children and grandchildren chose to live in the US. And now I am so worried about their safety and livelihood. I am truly scared to go visit them in the US. And I am terrified imagining what more this orange bafoon will do to destroy all that’s good and to only feed his ego. I love Canada and Canadians for your resistance to this criminal US regime, and your collective boycott against the atrocities and the disrespect coming from the US. Your leader is truly an adorable person with charisma, positive visions and empathy. I is an honor to have a nation like yours with a great leader like yours as a friend and ally. Thank you Canada for all that you do to get through these dark times. With all my heart I am sending greetings from Germany and say, welcome to Europe!

What a breath of fresh air this man has brought to the current political world and to all that we’re beginning to feel that we’re all in dire trouble.
I’m Australian and Carney gave me an overwhelming sense of patriotism…..towards Canada.
The world loves you Canada.

Everybody needs to see this: "I am not proposing a third bloc to become a great power rival, only with better manners. We do not seek power to dominate others... A Canada EU alliance would create a beacon for other democracies, not defined by what we oppose, but about what we are for : Freedom, solidarity, prosperity, sustainability...."

I am a Texan. Listening to this, I cry for the US. Racism is the end of us.

Outstanding speech! I can’t help but comment on what some internet trolls say;”Canada and the EU join together to humiliate Trump.” Not true. We are joining together to create security, prosperity, sustainability and freedom to live the way we want. Trump is quite busy humiliating himself without anyone’s help!

"Now I also want to be precise about what I am not proposing.
I’m not proposing a third bloc in order to become a great power rival only with better manners. We do not seek power to dominate others. On the contrary, we are pursuing resilience so no one can control our open markets, impair our sovereignty, threaten our territorial integrity, or undermine our freedoms, our democracies, our rule of law." 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 standing ovation right here!!

My eyes get wet while listening to our Prime Minister.
This is the moment when I again feel very happy that I am a Canadian citizen.
Thank you, Europe, for welcoming our Prime Minister; You, the European give me hope that together we can escape safely from the biggest, dirtiest storm created by a madman.
Our resilience will leave a good lesson to many future generations.
Please protect this man.

Finally something positive. I am so very tired of the hateful divisive threatening rhetoric coming from the US. This gives me some hope that Canada is not out there totally alone against the bully.

Congratulations, Canada and Europe! I'm happy to see something good of the Idiocracy we have now here in the U.S. We will join you again as good world citizens soon.❤
