Natural beauty is inexpensive. That is why the industry is about artificial beauty. If you control the standards for beauty then you can sell your standards for massive profit at their expense.

If I want to know what is beauty, I look at the real women around me, not on social media. Artificial beauty is SO BORING! Clones, clones everywhere!

As someone who was hospitalized for 65 days, fighting for my life and spent the last 4 years healing, working on to regain my independence-- walking, driving, heck simply being able to getting oxygen into my lungs, I no longer worry what anyone says about my look. I love every wrinkle, every strand of gray hair, my saggy boobs, my skinny, flat ass. I am simply just grateful for the fact that I get to live another day.

There are still those of us women who have never gotten Botox, filler, or plastic surgery and I am one of them! 🙋🏻‍♀️ As an Esthetician I’ve been exposed to it but never felt the pressure to doing any of that stuff. To each their own. I just know for sure I like the natural, God-given features and look more than anything. ✨ Any one else? 💖

I've been watching foreign movies and it's so refreshing. A lot of foreign movies have actors and actresses that look like your everyday person. So nice not to see fake people.

Filters on social media should be banned.
And now everyone sort of looks the same.
The solution is to stop fearing age,I know it’s easier said than done
But age is inevitable stop trying to look like someone else other than yourself natural selves.

I lost my Mom to Breast Cancer when she was 43 and I remember how naturally beautiful she was, using nothing but Noxzema to wash her face. I'm 46 and love that I look so much like her. My thing is looking as beautiful as she was. ❤

Natural beauty is every where. Normal people don’t behave like these celebs. And most of us never even meet or actually see any of these people. We are surrounded by natural beauty.

I am a (male) programmer, and this pattern feels extremely familiar. They're doing to you with this what they are doing to us with AI. Constantly bombarding you with propaganda through mass media, spreading fear and trying to convince you that if you do not use their latest technological miracle you will lose the "competition", get left behind, and excluded from your social group.

All of those "miraculous" quick results look impressive today, but will have to be paid for manyfold long term. At that point those who pushed the narrative will have collected the bag and their victims will have to pay that cost with their minds and bodies.

Don't get scammed, sisters. From a man's perspective I can tell you that not a single one of my male friends would ever encourage you getting these things done nor do we desire the result. This is all just so corporations can extract wealth from your pocket.

I've had several younger women ask me the secret to my great skin. Stop putting weird chemicals on your skin. Stop over cleansing your skin. Eat fruits/veggies, don't drink alcohol or eat excessive sugar. Wear a hat.

I'm almost 50. My skin glows. I have very few wrinkles. I do look older, but that's okay. It's okay to look older. It's not okay to look plastic

I am 38 and the only thing I’ve ever done is breast implants when I was 26. Worst decision of my life. I got them out when I was 30.

People are two-faced; I had an accident when I was just 10 years old that severely affected my nose—my bones were broken, but since I was still growing, the surgery wasn't performed then, and I was told to wait until I turned 18. Breathing through my mouth for eight years damaged my teeth—and just imagine how difficult that was, not to mention trying to sleep. I eventually had the surgery, but only to straighten the bones; I didn't pay for it because it wasn't a cosmetic procedure. Yet, I was bullied by people claiming I’d had a nose job—and now, a nose job is the very thing those bullies desire most! 😅
Plastic surgery is a good thing when it serves its intended purpose—such as for a woman who has had her breasts removed due to cancer, for accident victims needing nose reconstruction, for someone losing their vision as their drooping eyelids sag, or for someone whose very thin lips hinder their speech. However, it is distressing when these medical treatments are misused solely for the sake of vanity. 😢

I am 33. I had Invisalign in my 20s because my teeth were moving in a way that would cause them to break eventually. I am not interested in altering myself otherwise. I look like my ancestors. I look like my brother. My emotions always play on my face. There is so much beauty in that.

I have a lot of respect for the actresses who said no. Yes they do skin care, but not frozen face fillers. Kate winslet comes to mind. Feeling pretty is great but the cost of this fake stuff is way too high.

I’m GenX so grew up without social media and smart phones. If my parents caught me staring at myself in the mirror, or looking at my reflection in a shop window, they would tell me “nothing good comes from vanity”. My parents always reminded me that physical beauty fades, but character is forever. Now kids spend so much time looking at themselves whether through a camera, a mirror, or a reflection. Were these generations not taught Greek mythology?

Stopping botox was the best decision i ever made. It was a painful 2 years until i lost the blindness and realized how crazy everyone looks with their frozen faces. 😅

One of the best pieces of advice I've ever been given is, "Don't believe everything you think." Just because a thought pops into your head doesn't make it true or real or even worth entertaining. Your brain is just processing all of the stimuli it receives so when you think you aren't attractive, maybe investigate where that thought came from, why you may have thought it and who benefits from you feeling or thinking a certain way. From my age, if I could offer younger women the freedom I have gained over the years from intrusive thoughts about my body/looks, you don't have to be all things to all people. Some day, having a very unique face will be the thing all of these people will start chasing. Keep yours and it will come back in style sooner than you think.
